...Iambic pentameter is for the ear. Read it out loud.

Bio
While the ashes of marriage #2 were cooling, I began a journal here in verse, to keep myself out of trouble. So far so good, and one day at a time. I took a hiatus this past January, and I missed it terribly. Writing daily had changed the way I think - not my opinions, but the process of thinking itself. So here I am back again, and hungry. I began with three rules: (1) Iambic pentameter, (2) Perfect rhyme, and (3) It had to be true (no hyperbole). I hereby amend rule number 3: If I'm writing about myself, yes, it has to be true. But it doesn't, if I want to tell a story.

Tomorrow we are off.  Tomorrow night,
I may have trouble finding time to write,
And may not find an internet connection.
I promise to continue this collection,
And post from any place I go that's wired.
That's all for now.  No poem.  I'm just too tired.

Once again, DB, you can even write about being tired and having no time to write in such a beautiful way. You have a gift. Happy travels.
Perhaps it is more important just to enjoy the moments of the trip together as they go by. Will be thinking of you. Hope you manage time to rest.
Bon voyage. I hope your travels are refreshing.
Best wishes to you.
Have a great trip! We'll be here waiting.
I'll be waiting at the stop for the omnibus.
Ah, just jot 'em down every night and post 'em when you get back. Your journal will still be intact and true to your rules. Don't waste time worrying about interwebs, just have a good time. See ya later.
