Bio
While the ashes of marriage #2 were cooling, I began a journal here in verse, to keep myself out of trouble. So far so good, and one day at a time. I took a hiatus this past January, and I missed it terribly. Writing daily had changed the way I think - not my opinions, but the process of thinking itself. So here I am back again, and hungry. I began with three rules: (1) Iambic pentameter, (2) Perfect rhyme, and (3) It had to be true (no hyperbole). I hereby amend rule number 3: If I'm writing about myself, yes, it has to be true. But it doesn't, if I want to tell a story.

Pocket Change. Thursday July 15, 2010

Rate: 6 Flag

I heard an interview tonight.  The guest
Was patiently describing what to do,
When life goes south  (or maybe just southwest),
Like Breaking Up.  I know a thing or two:
It's easier to fill up all the time
If there's an extra nickel or a dime.

Good evening, DB. I so get this. And continue to be amazed at how you can do this everyday (the iambic poems, that is)
You surely do know a thing or two or three or beyond counting, only loving.
Change is what we make it. And, DB, you make it work a little more each day.
Going and doing backed by a nice money roll in your pocket sure does blunt the pain...Yes, it is true. But right now, who has any jack to throw around? Just strippers and drug dealers I am sad to say.
And now, going to think of something fun to do in my back yard!
and a couple a million bucks would help too.
