Bio
While the ashes of marriage #2 were cooling, I began a journal here in verse, to keep myself out of trouble. So far so good, and one day at a time. I took a hiatus this past January, and I missed it terribly. Writing daily had changed the way I think - not my opinions, but the process of thinking itself. So here I am back again, and hungry. I began with three rules: (1) Iambic pentameter, (2) Perfect rhyme, and (3) It had to be true (no hyperbole). I hereby amend rule number 3: If I'm writing about myself, yes, it has to be true. But it doesn't, if I want to tell a story.

Goodnight #19 (A Palindrome). Friday Aug 13, 2010

Rate: 14 Flag

Goodnight.  Events create ideas, ignite
Delight, exhaust impossibly. Goodnight.

Goodnight impossibly exhausts delight.
Ignite ideas.  Create events.  Goodnight.

Love it. Your creativity abounds.
Very creative. It relieves me of the horrible thought that a palindrome is a stadium where Palin might hold a gathering.
My oh my! .. Amazing are you, DB!
DB, you are amazing! .. My oh my! Wow!
What a deliciously creative goodnight here!
I tried to fall asleep last night igniting ideas. I fell asleep during the event.
:)
Rated with hugs
I know that goodnight place. It is awesome. That is if I don't ignite something other than ideas.
Clever and witty. You really have a gift.
Very, very clever.
I cannot possibly do one of these and make sense.
Hi everyone. I just had to try this once. It presented a technical challenge, and sometimes that can be a great deal of fun; but it doesn't always promise immortality, that's for sure.

froggy, thanks. I'm glad you liked it. But honestly, I'm going to go back to something that will let me use a 3-syllable word here and there.

Jan - excellent. I woke up this morning thinking it had two L's in it, and that I had spelled it wrong because of one Sarah Palin.

Dave - thanks for putting this in your PP post. I'm very grateful for what you're doing.

Kate - you are too kind, AND you see it's not so very difficult -- it's just hard to make it really SAY anything.

Linda - at least you got to sleep. This thing robbed me of a couple of hours, at the very least.

Linnnn - hmmmm... be careful, you could ignite curiosity as well.

Pilgrim - and you are too kind.

ladyslipper - thank you. What I have more than anything else is time on my hands. And wanting to do this, of course.

vanessa - making sense is the hardest part, believe me. With the choices I made here, I was limited to iambic nouns, and iambic verbs. It's a little... limiting?

bluestocking babe - well, welcome! Thanks for coming by.

One more too-late night. I'm glad it's a weekend, so I can sleep a little of it off.

Thank you all so very much for coming by.

Oh man, I gotta get to bed.
Missed this last night - but it was a good one!!
Any palindrome is a pal o' mine.
