Bio
While the ashes of marriage #2 were cooling, I began a journal here in verse, to keep myself out of trouble. So far so good, and one day at a time. I took a hiatus this past January, and I missed it terribly. Writing daily had changed the way I think - not my opinions, but the process of thinking itself. So here I am back again, and hungry. I began with three rules: (1) Iambic pentameter, (2) Perfect rhyme, and (3) It had to be true (no hyperbole). I hereby amend rule number 3: If I'm writing about myself, yes, it has to be true. But it doesn't, if I want to tell a story.

Weather Report #2. Thursday Sep 30, 2010

Rate: 10 Flag

Today was all the shimm'ring sound of rain,
And loneliness of wind.  And now tonight
The leaves, like empty hearts, hold on in vain,
Then tumble down the street, and out of sight.
And no one ventures out too long, too late.
Inside, they hear the wind and rain, and wait.

Ah, yes. A night like that. I miss them, they are so rare here. The leaves fall inside your heart as well.
I hope the cool winds of loneliness blow away soon DB but I do love the picture and sound of the day being 'all the shimm'ring sound of rain'.
"And loneliness of wind." Sometimes that is a place one can not leave. Waiting and hoping for weather to change.
And after the storm comes the rainbow.
I love the rain but once it gets cold " Inside, they hear the wind and rain, and wait." that is exactly how I feel.r
Lovely and lonely and safe inside. Thanks.
Bard, I have wondered what it would be like to wake up and not find a piece from you. I think I heard you had a long drive ahead. Hope you managed it and have managed some sleep. When you are ready, we'll be here. Meanwhile thinking of you and hoping all is well.
Simplistic and yet I could feel the weather and the wet and hear the wind-blown leaves..veryw ell done. TX
Inside or out, I love nights like that.
Hi everyone - Sorry I didn't make my post last night! I am on the road, visiting relatives, so access is a little spotty.

I am WRITING them nightly however, and will make sure everything is in place when I return.

Thank you all for coming by - thanks to a couple of you, who have asked why I missed my post.

It is a privilege to have you as an audience.
