Bio
While the ashes of marriage #2 were cooling, I began a journal here in verse, to keep myself out of trouble. So far so good, and one day at a time. I took a hiatus this past January, and I missed it terribly. Writing daily had changed the way I think - not my opinions, but the process of thinking itself. So here I am back again, and hungry. I began with three rules: (1) Iambic pentameter, (2) Perfect rhyme, and (3) It had to be true (no hyperbole). I hereby amend rule number 3: If I'm writing about myself, yes, it has to be true. But it doesn't, if I want to tell a story.

I puzzle over you: discreet, serene,
Your prettiness a figment of desire,
In only words; a miniature scene
Illumined from a distance, to admire
In verse alone -- no else would pay this due.
Or silence, though the ache would be too deep,
And hearing nothing, you could misconstrue
The peacefulness as promises I'd keep.
I puzzle magnetism, pull, attraction,
And wonder if a comet nearing earth
Will study cloud formations for reaction
To stop it questioning its sense of worth.
And I desire, and I would have you here.
And puzzle breath, and speech, and eye, and ear.

Longing and questioning the longing for. I like when you get romantic DB, it looks good on you.
Our mechanisms out of mind
Can divert from functions designed.
Caution is our great protection
From good sense's gross deflection.
At times it's wise to fling
Rationality into the wind,
Let dream and hormones take wing
So delight can fly unpinned.
Very nice! Longing from afar.

(Sounds like the sounds of a slowly healing heart).

Excellent as always.
Hmmmm, is she a someone in particular?
In distant dioramas tiny figures
sit on steps and drink their tea,
telescoping infinite recursions
of want to touch and hear and see.

Figments orbit those desires
held in a magnetosphere
determining the notions of
late and soon and far and near.
Oh. Dear Bard. Such puzzling. Puzzling of soul and mind and heart.
This series is extraordinary.
Lovely, with a little Shakespearean edge there. You pull hard at the syntax with "no else would pay this due."
Peacefulness as promises I'd keep~
Keep going, Divorce Bard!
And when delight does fly unpinned, wow, sensational.
Oh, I love a little mystery!
My bet's on one of the A&P produce displayers, the one you think of as a real tomato.
I understood this one on a personal level. I like this.
Hello good people. This series is coming from waters I had not tested for a long time. Forgive me if I suddenly get cold feet. So far, so good. I appreciate your coming along.

rita, that is such a nice way of putting it, thank you. But I feel a little like I'm trying on something skin-tight. There may be too much showing, you know?

Jan... unpinned delight. Bravo.

froggy, thanks for your hopes. And thanks for reading.

Oryoki, did you ask me this once before? I know someone would. Actually, yes. I mean no. I mean... it's complicated.

c&v thank you for the tea tonight. Let's do it again.

anna1, truth be told I've been puzzled since the day I started liking girls, I think.

Brassawe... what? Ow man, thanks. Um... I'm about to post another one.

Steve, thanks. You know? I really like the way that phrase sounds, but when I read it, my eye really, really wants it to be "no ONE else..." It takes a little practice to read it right.

catch-22, thanks. Another one posted, next page. And yes, Jan's comment was just great.

trilogy, me too. It's still spinning out, I don't know how it's going to end.

Leon, a waitress. Hotcakes.

pastvoices, thanks. I really liked your post about the dress.

Thank you everyone. I'm going to post, and go to bed. Thank you all for coming by so steadfastly.

'night.
These words come to my mind DB .... beautiful, delicate, elegant, tantalising and elusive.

These poems in your 'Anonymous' series are very special.
