Bio
While the ashes of marriage #2 were cooling, I began a journal here in verse, to keep myself out of trouble. So far so good, and one day at a time. I took a hiatus this past January, and I missed it terribly. Writing daily had changed the way I think - not my opinions, but the process of thinking itself. So here I am back again, and hungry. I began with three rules: (1) Iambic pentameter, (2) Perfect rhyme, and (3) It had to be true (no hyperbole). I hereby amend rule number 3: If I'm writing about myself, yes, it has to be true. But it doesn't, if I want to tell a story.

Out to Lunch #2. Monday Jan 30, 2012

Rate: 15 Flag

The hours that I've recently been keeping
Have lately been preventing me from sleeping.
As well, my writing needs a little thought;
It doesn't feel as centered as it ought.
I've felt it slide - if things keep getting worse,
I'll have to be content with... (cough) "light verse."

I'm off to set another tale in rhyme.
So I'll be gone, an undetermined time.
I can't express my gratitude enough,
To everyone who comes, and reads my stuff.

Nothing like a long lunch from time to time! Enjoy but mind the calories!

I'll look forward to seeing you back again .... soon, I hope.

Until then ... take care.

Much love.

Kate
Bard, I love your stuff, and I'll keep looking for your return.
little levity, a little levity, a little touch of DB in the night...
that was supposed to be brevity...you know, cause it rhymes.
Light verse and off again. Another trailing sigh...
Hola Bard!
I bet your 'light verse' would be muy interestante, por que no tomas el chance?

Get your sleep. I'm psyched for the next fairytale ~
Aww, but your daily posts are better than a box of cracker jacks... have fun. r
Every day writing is tough. Sleep is important. Rest, and we'll be here.
I should be this "out to lunch"!

You know I love your stuff and will be awaiting your return. Be well.
Lovely it is ... when you are here ... to drop in ... and feast ... right here ... with you ...
Kim's words here ... speak for all ... truly ...
You can divorce in marriage.
You can't divorce Open Salon.
So keep the poetry coming, sir.
Without you we can't get along.
I haven't been around much since I broke my leg the end of September as it was awkward to sit and my computer time was limited to a couple hours when I could stand sitting up. I am so sorry to see I missed so much. I am attempting to create balance to do everything I need to do, write, read here and books, and sew. It is good to see you here. I will definitely try to go back.
Good, Bard. Keep plugging away in spite of all obstacles. I shall be here awaiting your return.
Hope you will remember, Bard, that here ... there need be no rules ... so that while you are thinking of a tale in rhyme ... should something lift you and tell itself ... and ask you to tell it here ... no rules ... just here ... a place ... to be ...
My appreciation for your talents cannot be described in words. I look forward to your next offerings...R
