Regardless of what the Obama Administration has said or will say about these off-year elections the results are bad news and they know it.
Virginia went for Obama in the 2008 election as did NJ and NY.
Suddenly, the times, they are a changin'.
The biggest shock to the Obama Administration is the absolute exodus of the Independent voters that assured his election the last time around.
They have left out the back door and they aren't returning to the party.
Even if Corzine wins in NJ he'll be so beat up that they will have to drag him across the finish line.
Just the fact that as this point it's "too close to call" should be frightening to the Democrats in Congress.
Corzine had to spend ALOT of his money just to pull even with Christie.
Daggett may yet prove to be the spoiler and Corzine will have him to thank for it but Corzine, if he wins, will be a "dead man walking" in NJ politics.
The PEOPLE are finally getting their say.
This is just a prelude to what will most likely be a first-rate butt whipping in November of next year.
Watch for more Dems to distance themselves from Obama as the election gets closer and closer.
The President is a liability now and they know it.
This also means that there will be NO health reform bill this year either because the Dems will take this as a sign and they will back off.
Sure Pelosi and Reid will still attempt to push it through but the moderates and conservatives in the party are going to see this as a wake-up call and walk away.
Obama is going to have a decision to make: Dig in or surrender and compromise.
So far he has chosen to fight.
We'll see how that works out in the long run.
You can bet that they are talking about this right now in The White House and old Rahm is explaining the "bad news" to the President.
Tonight, the revolution has begun!!!!
What better place than in the great State of Virginia!!!

First, Obama says he helped create or save x number of jobs and then he says there will be more job losses.
Is anybody watching this guys words?

I've always considered Jimmy Carter as the worst President, while many on the left would give that title to Bush 43. Today, it can be conclusively stated that after only 10 months in office, President Obama now holds the title of worst President. You will see him continue to slide, I think, to the point that he starts making irrational, delusional based, decisions. Admittedly, the thought of a "President Biden" is not sitting too well with me at this point either.
Cancel the revolution.
Sorry, but there are plenty of intelligent, thoughtful, and open-minded people in the world who know that our true identities as human beings have nothing to do with the agendas of two American political parties that have become essentially one and the same. It's the views of narrow-minded, propagandist ex soldiers like you that encourage and perpetuate the greed and corruption that now runs America's insane social and political systems.
I strongly disagree with your ridiculous claims about the current president of the United States, and unless Obama can make a few changes or you're in the top 1%, you and millions of Americans like you can kiss the old American way of life goodbye.
I have no particular love for the Dem party. At this point their only positive attribute is they aren't the nutbucket GOP.
The NJ and Va races went to form. Only NY23 was unusual.
Looks like the Dems should hire Beck and Palin to endorse as many GOP candidates as possible. The jackass Repub base is a surefire loser.
I guess the GOP is supposed to parlay that 20% self described Republican base into a takeover? Dream on. The electorate might be disgusted with the Dems, and for good reason...but they abso-freakin-lutely despise the radically insane GOP. They haven't forgotten who FUBAR-ed the economy, and 12 months won't help much.
You have the significant race factor bass-ackwards. 23 is the beginning of a very messy GOP intramural food fight.
As far as denigrating my service to this country is concerned, I can only say that you are welcome to wrap yourself in the freedom that I and many others have provided for you and your loved ones. We don't take it personally. Your FREE to say or do what you like....thanks to us.
The only remarkable thing about New York 23 was that a nerdy nobody came very close to winning over the combined forces of America's two major parties.
I agree that Obama's resume is catching up to him so quickly that we may soon see increased signs of personal instability. Watching basketball instead of the results of an election in which he put his reputation and charisma on the line suggests denial, an early symptom. Add to this the fact that he can't manage organization even as to "easy" matters and you've got more bad omens.
The ludicrous spectacle of Harry Reid contradicting his boss on the health care reform timetable and the equally incredible contradiction of reality on the part of Gibbs on the issue of flu shots to Gitmo both give the impression that Obama is losing his grip.
However, since that grip is around the throat of traditional American values, any loosening of it is a good thing.
As to the mental breakdown comment Roger, I think Obama may be a candidate for a nervous breakdown of some sort because he is simply to juvenile minded and immature to have the capacity to handle a large amount of stress. His dysfunctional childhood and radical associates do not help to contribute to his mental stability.
Paul, I agree that there is a certain elitist/f*uck joe six pack element in the Republican party that will never get the message. I also agree that the Republicans are constantly the minority, but for different reasons than you. I do not agree with you or Roger on the significance of NY 23, but we still have our First Amendment rights so we can come on forums like this and debate the issue as rational adults.
According to the Democratic Governors Association Blog: "This election continues a 24-year streak in New Jersey where the party in the White House loses the governorship."
