Obama Doesn't Like His Job

Rate: 6 Flag

With all of the turmoil going on in the world these days how can you blame the man? I mean who needs this kind of mess? I'm quite sure he never expected to get caught up in as much "stuff" as he is right now.

I've watched Obama more closely in the last year or so and something has occured to me that I never picked up on before: he doesn't like his job.

Sure he LOVES the celebrity aspect of being President  and he CRAVES the publicity but if you watch his actions rather than his words he clearly HATES governing.

This man take a hands-off approach to many of the most imortant issues that are troubling this country and for that matter the world.

To be sure he LOVES the sporlight and he loves to be the man in front of the cameras but the reason he does is because he enjoys the "figurehead" aspect of being the President. The pomp, the circumstance, the entourage...all of it.

However, when it comes right down to it he would rather NOT get caught up in the details of things. I've heard it said before that "professors or the type of people that live in their heads" but they can't seem to handle the practical application of life.

Whether it be the crowning achievment of his adminstration to date: The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) or financial reform, foreign policy, you name it.

His preference is to "let someone put the plan together" and they he'll bless it. This fact alone tells me that we have nothing to fear from the rumors about Obama wanting to become a "king" or "dictator" of the United States. The fact is that takes too much work.

Nope, just give Obama a nice golf course, some time at the beach and few days off and then he'll fly back into DC, sign some legislation and then back to the links he goes!!!

At one of the most important, critical times in our history as a nation we appear to be stuck with a guy who finds his job description boring.

That's why it's a good thing that the 2012 Election season is ramping up. This is what he lives for. This man loves to campaign. He lives for it. He gets to travel to all 57 states and meet with his people.

There is none of this crafting legislation nonsense and no rolling out new initiatives to produce jobs for the millions that STILL can't find work. No!! That paltry nonsense is for the Congress.

It's his time to shine!! The crowds, the chants, the rousing speeches, the fainting...the Kool Aid!!!! You can see the renewed purpose in his eyes and you can see that he is getting psyched for this campaign like nobody's business.

Meanwhile, the government budget has not been passed, the unemployment rate is still high, the debt grows more with each passing day.

"Just right up here Mr President." "This is the best vantage point for you to see the country." "Oh, and I almost forgot sir...here is your fiddle."

Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to rate a DJohn post, let alone, be the first.

Impeach the liar in chief.
A couple things. Look at the before and after pictures of those who were president. It has to be a killer on the person.

Second, do you think he will pass on a second term? He is in the history books. There really is nothing else he can do except go down hill in the history books unless he really pulls one out from where the sun doesn't shine. Will he be the next LBJ?
Mark-Thanks for stopping by. BTW, how are you? Were you affected by this tragedy in Japan? I hope all is well.
Catnlion-Interesting supposition. I think he will run again because he HAS to. While he might WANT to bow out now I think the power and prestige of that office is addictive and he most likely feels that he is trapped there now. He can't walk away but he doesn't want to go on. He is a victim of his own ambition. Besides, the second term is usually just the "victory lap" for most Presidents. They usually don't tackle anything of great importance and focus on protecting their legacy. They know they can't get reelected so they settle into their statesmen role and ride it out. However, the second term for Obama could be worse than his first. Once Obamacare starts to take effect things are going to change...and quickly.
Be impeached. Give up. Be beaten. Same result. Then the rebuilding can begin.

Rated.
I wonder if it is really a question of him liking or disliking the position rather than being just completely unprepared for the responsibility thrust upon him. He was incredibly inexperienced to start and the more "stuff" that seems to happen during his term is serving more to frustrate and confuse this administration rather than provide them the experience needed and the propulsion to any type of action. Coming from a woman so liberal that I refuse to even call myself a democrat, this is pretty damning for any confidence of this administration across the board.
DJohn, You might be right about the victory lap. While he doesn't have to announce his intentions to run, they are assumed, what if things are not greatly improved. They he faces the challenge of those in his party during the primary and the Republicans during the election. What will happen if he loses either race? Would you not bow out gracefully early vs. the historical mark of being beaten. Has any sitting President ever lost in the primary?
I was going to add Hillary might be able to pull it off. If the election had been Hillary vs. McCain I'm not sure which way I would have voted.
Darla-I agree with you. The inexperience is definitely a factor in all of this.
Everyone joked at Sarah Palin’s inexperience, but refused to accept Obama’s inexperience. The men and women he placed into strategic positions showed much more than his inexperience, it showed his true ideology. He had the lowest amount of men and women, with business experience, placed into office than any President in history. Instead, he placed admitted maoists, socialist and communists into strategic positions. He tried to not defend American Laws, such as the Immigration and DOMA Laws. His Attorney General, Eric Holder, would not file charges against The New Black Panthers, especially in light of their obvious law breaking. Holder’s own office is at odds with itself. This administration is the most disorganized and untrustworthy administration ever. This should have opened everyone’s eyes to the Truth of the Obama administration’s agenda. Bush was also somewhat of a progressive, but Obama made him look like an amateur.

The progressive party, from Obama down, is showing their inadequacies by Obama not tackling America’s problems and would rather run away and go golfing or go on vacation. It is the same way with the democrat senators, fleeing a state rather than do the job they were elected to do. This childish behavior, which I guess is a character of the progressive, shows their refusal to accept the fact that they lost some power and their refusal to accept accountability for their inactions and misrepresentations. If they do not get it their way, they sulk and do not want to play anymore. Conservatives took it for 2 years, progressives cannot handle 2 months.

November 2010, was a pivotal moment in time for the Obama regime. No longer did the progressive party have carte blanche on whatever policies they wanted to institute on Americans. It was a castration of an ideology that a socialist administration was bent on promulgating. If November 2010 did not happen the way it did, all hell would be breaking loose right now. You are seeing a partially castrated President. This President owes so many paybacks, to organizations and unions, which he cannot now fulfill, due to the political structure evening the playing field.

The hostile rioting here in America, by socialist organizations, is disgusting. Obama does nothing about these riots because he knows he owes these organizations, and these unions and organizations are the top money donors to the progressive party. Obama is merely laying low because he knows that if he reacts, he will further disenchant the Independents who helped to place him into office. Obama is trying to play both sides by sitting on the fence. His best and only quality was being able to woo the People, he is losing that now.

We Independents were shown an illusion in 2008; we came to our senses and woke up in 2010. We will finish the job in 2012. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on us.
I think you're on to something.
He is and always will be a community organizer. Japan reels under intolerable multiple punches, our military sends cruise missiles into Libya and where is he? Partying in Brazil because it was pre-arranged. He handed the US's unique 'leader of the free world' status to France, and France stepped up to the plate. The one and only event he has been engaged in is Obama Care, the rest is either beneath him or above his pay grade. Multiple states are in revolt against his signature achievement. Even his own are calling him 'Coward in Chief". 4 years is enough, for him and us.
