Obama, The Anti-Semite

Rate: 1 Flag

Why does our President hate the Nation of Israel? Why does our President hate the Jewish People? Why would a sitting US President align himself with an ideology that led to the brutal extermination of 6 million Jews just half a century or so ago?

What Obama said in his little speech the other day was not only irresponsible and disrespectful but it was also dangerous. At a time when unrest is fomenting at an unprecedeted rate in the Arab world for him to basically go out and announce that he is sympathetic to  the Palestinian cause over the wishes of our ally Israel is just downright stupid.

I almost have to wonder why Obama is continuing this "War on Terror" at all since he obviously sides with those that hate Israel. Oh sure, he didn't actually SAY he hated them or wanted them to be attacked but announcing that they need to return to the 1967 borders is tantamount to the same thing.

Is it possible that his advisors DON'T know the implications of such a policy should it be carried forward would do? Surely, there MUST be someone in his staff that understands how such a policy would effectively lead to the extermination of the Jewish people and the Nation of Israel in a very short period of time.

The fact is without a military presence near the Jordan River and a military presence on the Golan Heights Israel would be vulnerable to attack from several types of weapons and because of the advanced technology being funneled to their enemies via the Russians and Chinese it would not be a long, drawn out batter either.

Why is it that of all the borders that were drawn up after WWII in that part of the world the only ones that seem to always be up for discussion are that of Israels? Why is it when people talk about having a two- state solution that they fail to realize that there WAS a two state solution but it was refused and ultimately rejected by the very same people who claim to want on today?

Why is it that the money that is being poured in the Gaza Strip never seems to make it the PEOPLE of the Gaza Strip but the widow of Yasser Arafat is living in luxury in France and reportedly gets $20 Milliom a year to live on? Where is that money coming from?

Our President is one of two things: a dangerous anti-semite bent on the destruction of Israel or someone who is unbelievably naive about the actual political situation over there. He seemed to have it figured out BEFORE he got elected:

 So what changed? Hmmm....

When you have one side of this equation that REFUSES to recognize the right for the other to even exist then peace is but a fairytale for politicians who are seriously out of touch.

I was glad to see that Prime Minster Benjamin Netayahu was about the only one with enough common sense in the room to boldly proclaim that the 1967 borders solution is "indefensible" and thus will never be accepted.

Obama claims that he wants to see peace in the Middle East and that he welcomes the Arab Spring Movement because it means the spread of democracy in the region. However, he might want to realize that when he spouts off such dangerous ideas for the world to hear he is only going to make things worse.

I can only pray that the most radical haters of the Jewish people who are bent on their demise at any cost will not take this as a green light to proceed with their plans since they now have the blessing of the United States to do so.

I think Obama owes Israel an explanation and an apology for putting them into such a precarious situation. If he's not careful there won't be any allies left to come to our aid the next time WE need a hand.

I think that he thinks that if he gets a settlement now, he takes things off the table that are annoyances other places. I don't see him as an anti-Semite, and Arabs are Semites too. He does come at this with more of a "third world" perspective, possibly, than any other prior President because of his background, one might reasonably conjecture.
Whether or not the Palestinians will see this or not as the last chance they have is another kettle of fish, as the Arabs in general have had a very hard time ever really accepting the idea of a real peace, even with treaties.
The increasing weapons ranges cut both ways, given Israel's ability to launch deep strikes themselves, plus nuclear weapons, and using such weapons or even having them is for the Arabs instrinsically dangerous, and makes them saps like you identify as the problem in Russia and China via Iran, because they are playing into the hands of some people thinking that Israel needs even more strategic depth than it acquired in 1967. Of course, as you say, Russia and China have a game, which I think is to try to lever the Israelis away from America, which we have to be very, very careful with: if you can't beat them join them is maybe what the Russians and Chinese are trying to force on Israel, which is dangerous for everyone.
In the end, it seems to me the Arabs and Israelis have been offered a chance. Whether both sides can take it at the same time is another story, and given that the Israelis don't like or trust Obama, and given that the Palestinians are talking about things that will never happen as in a full right of return, a settlement is not the highest probability event, alas, given that the alternatives are not likely to go well in the long run.
You wrote, "Is it possible that his advisors DON'T know the implications of such a policy should it be carried forward would do? "

Actually, I was just discussing this possibility as a reality long-distance to L.A. (from Moscow) today. I think it IS possible. Sad, but possible.

To ask a nation to negotiate with an entity that wants the first nation destroyed is to live in the land of the unreal.

Thank you for your post. Rated.
Where was the outrage when George Bush said essentially the same thing: "There should be an end to the occupation that began in 1967."
This is nothing new, it's a continuation of the same basic philosophy of the Clinton and Bush administrations. But because it comes out of the mouth of Obama, it must be condemned. Even a staunch Israeli supporter like Pat Buchanan sees this as Obama Derangement Syndrome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Qs7O5qf5-E
Left Is Right-I don't care what party is in The White House at the moment the premise is wrong. Now I WILL say that the former PM'S before Netanyahu have been more moderate and at times have been taken advantage of by the leadership of the United States. That is one of the many reasons why Netanyahu was elected in the first place. He is a "hardliner" who is dead-set against relinquishing land for peace and the people back him. Until Israel is RECOGNIZED by the Arabs (the majority) that it has the right to exist there will never be peace. Thanks for stopping by.
To the person who said that the Arabs are Semites too. When people use the term anti-Semite in English, it traditionally means, and most dictionaries of English say this, anti-Jewish. That is how it is obviously meant in this author's post. To say, "Well Arabs are Semites too" is to imply that the term is somehow absurd when used to mean what most of us use it to mean. When we speak, for example, of the Nazis, we call them anti-Semites and MEAN they were anti-Jew. Most of us know this. We should also recall that many, many Arabs backed Hitler. (The current King of Jordan, and this should not reflect on him - nor is it meant to, had a great-grandfather that met with and supported Hitler. He even got up some Arab troops for him and they fought in Europe. Many Arabs didn't back Hitler only because of fears about a future Jewish nation either. It is sad to say, but it is, sadly also, true. Anti-Semitism, as it is usually used, is very much a part of the modern Arab world as well. It is a problem. They need to deal with it.
