When Bush took office, Clinton had a given him a BUDGET SURPLUS and W could have paid down the national debt. Instead, he put in a Trillion Dollar tax cut to benefit the rich. And the rich have done VERY WELL during the past 12 years. He set up a trillion dollar drug deal, and his 2 wars will cost 3 TRILLON..... 3 thousand Billion dollars. When Obama took over, Bush's final parting gift budget was 1.5 TRILLION dollars in the red, with unemployment over 9% and headed Lower. It is popular opinion that Obama gets blamed for the Bush wars, the Bush unemployment, the Bush deficit, and so on. History may well show how Bush destroyed the economy and the country and walked away.
