Life's most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?

Honor his memory by helping others today, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
January 17, 2011 marks the 25th anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. federal holiday. The MLK Day of Service was created to "empower individuals, strengthens communities, bridges barriers, creates solutions to social problems, and moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community."
This Day of Service honors Dr. King's belief in a nation of freedom and justice for all. He encouraged Americans to apply the principles of nonviolence to make this country a better place to live—creating the Beloved Community.
To mark the 25th anniversary of the King holiday, and to encourage ongoing service throughout the year, the Corporation for National and Community Service will be launching the MLK 25 Challenge. It's a call to all Americans to honor Dr. King by pledging to take at least 25 actions during 2011 to make a difference for others and strengthen our communities.
