Hurry Up and Wait: Election Day Stress Reduction

Rate: 2 Flag

100 Best Photo Albums

Now that you’ve voted, (you have, haven’t you? --I said you have, haven’t you?) it’s white knuckle time as you await the results.

F5 . . . F5 . . . F5 . . . Why isn’t this $?&!^@% election finally over . . .

Hey all you OS election junkies out there, DogWoman’s husband here. Yep, the guy in the tie dye shirt and bandana who shamelessly dressed up like a hippie with his dog for the Halloween Contest only to be overshadowed by his son with said dog in the AT-AT costume (cue Darth Vader breathing sound and Star Wars Imperial March theme music; since some folks were a little rusty on their Star Wars lexicon in the Halloween post comments, here's some more info from Wiki on the AT-AT). Anyway, enough about me for now. Dogwoman was up before the dawn to arrive at the polls at 5:30 a.m. to work all day today as a Democratic judge. Bless her for taking on this yeoman's (or is that yeowoman's) task, especially in our very Red neck of the woods . . .

From what I’ve read, it seems to me that everyone’s nerves are a bit frayed right about now, and a little stress reduction is in order.

Well, to lighten your mood and to provide a bit of a non-partisan diversion to help pass the time, I thought that you might enjoy looking at this feature from American Photo/Popular Photography magazine on the 100 Best Photo Album Covers of all time. Remember, this is a photography magazine, so it doesn’t include album covers with original artwork. I found it very interesting, especially as a photographer, and also to read some of the back story to the covers. (Note, you can pause the slideshow and then arrow forward at your own pace. Also, some of the covers contain “mature content,” so don’t say I didn’t warn you.)

Check out the 100 Best Photo Album Covers (from the PopPhoto.com website).

Let us know what you think, covers you would nominate that weren’t included, etc. At any rate, hope you enjoy this – sure beats sitting on your hands or wearing out the F5 on your keyboard.

Glad to meet the hubby. Thanks for the election-night stress relief!
Hello to dogman and dogwoman :)

Cool link, by the way. It was worth looking. The slideshow goes too fast, though; I kept having to pause it to look longer at the photos.
