Email Profile Photo+ POSTER SNEAK PEEK+ Baby Weasel 1st Kiss

Rate: 40 Flag

M snuggling baby weasel Mary's 1st snug with the baby weasel! It was all over before it even began. Sasha was five and a half weeks old and still living with the litter at the breeders.

Baby Weasel's 1st yawn

The baby weasel's 1st yawn of record. Look at those cute little puppy needle teeth! Watch out, Man Talk Now!

First Kiss

1st kiss of DogWoman by The Weasel! Connie Mack, I know they're cuter when they're babies, but I personally prefer the love and devotion and steadiness once they're dogs. But, like Artsfish, I love and miss puppy breath (and the unbearable cuteness factor)!

Sneak Preview Intro

If you haven't posted your profile photo/avatar, and you want to be included, you can now e-mail your photo or image to Steve. Just send a message to DogWoman or The Bionic Man asking for Steve's e-mail (we don't want to post it here and allow easy spam access). We'll message you back the super seeky e-mail address of avatarness and, voila, you're there! Derek, the Skeptic Turtle, has given Steve until Friday, December 12th at midnight, to finish the poster graphics. Mary will be sad if we get more images in after that and we've already hit 399 (you know you're going to be on this, BBE), so don't delay, e-mail today!

To the computer challenged (you know who you are), do not fear. Computer guru Steve can talk you through this. If you've still got one of those nasty gray ghosts up and want some real cred on OS, Steve can walk you through how to get the photo onto your blog! Ask happy camper Laurel, not Lauren who is now gracing the site with her snappy and lovely smiling face. Anyone can participate--no criteria, no membership in some "in" group required, nothing to keep you out (except copyrighted photos or images, which we can't use at Zazzle).

Here is the poster as it stands right now, a work in progress. The poster will be 23" x 23" and available for purchase in mid-December (Skeptic Turtle has more details, including other merchandise such as coffee mugs, t-shirts, etc that will be available). A portion of each sale will be donated to ArtiCulture and Heifer International.

Poster Mockup

Nearly full size version of the left side; note spot reserved for Behind Blue Eyes (who said with such confidence that we would never get to 400, but offered up his/her avatar if we did).

Left side of poster

Detail of middle section. Actual size of each avatar is 1" x 1" -- who else is going to want to cozy up to the squirrel on the remaining three corners?? And will having Joan Walsh on board now shame others into joining?

Middle section of poster

Here's the bottom right section detail:

The cartoons, images, and drawings currently on here have been drawn by the blogger or, in one case, created by a cartoon generator, so should all pass copyright standards. If you're concerned (or wish to confess), message us and we'll double check.

Let's finish this thing off folks. We've reached 262 now, and can get there this week. Remember, only the first 399 get in!

Want to know more about the poster, etc. avatar project? Go to Skeptic Turtle's post Who’s left? - OS Avatar Collage Update and find out all the details.

Also, to help the project out, please go back up and rate this post so it can get more exposure on the front cover!

Great work and love the pup..
Love the photos...Thanks...nangramma
Yep. I can smell the puppy breath again, which is a happy thing. It has been all too long since I enjoyed the company of a puppy............

The poster is looking grand!
And I do believe that baby Weasel may have been the cutest puppy. Ever.
You guys are amazing. :) (I like puppy breath too)
Awesome! (And I say that with all sincerity.)

I'm in the best row! (I say that with a bit more irony.)
I was just kidding with that last remark. Check out the luminaries in my row! They're some of my favorite people. And all of yours. :-)
The pup is adorable! I want to feel that fuzzy puppy fur and rub that round puppy tummy.

Nice work on the collage, too. Thank you so much for putting this together.

P. S. Is it possible to make an "answer key" so we know who is who? Since some OSers changed their photos from their avatars, it would be helpful to be able to identify everyone. It's just a suggestion, if it's easy to do. You've already put so much work into this that I don't want to give you more to do!
oh yes, I remember when mine had those teeth...ow, no, ow, no, ow, no
puppy breath, why does everyone seem to like puppy breath? I think it smells like poop.

Great job on the poster- Thank you all for your hard work!
I am honored to be next to the squirrel. But who will I teabag?
Lisa, you got there before me. I'm planning to make a chart that matches bloggers' names to their positions on the poster, like the insert that comes with assorted chocolate candies. This post was just too long to add that into the mix this time.
ePriddy, we'll accept volunteers who want to share the squirrel love on the three remaining corners near you. I'm afraid the four adjacent squirrel sides were long since spoken for!
Its looking good already. Can't imagine all the work you all are putting into this. Many thanks.

Monte
Hey!!......I get to be close to you and Weasel!!!!!
Oh, goodie, more Weasel pics! Now I'm jonesing for puppy breath. It does NOT smell like poop! Unless your puppy is/was eating poop? Bleh! Puppy breath should smell sweet and clean. And their paws smell like popcorn. :)

Great job on the poster, you guys. And I got the spot of honor! For the rest of my life, I will be able to show that I got teabagged by the squirrel! :D
Wow BW is getting big. The poster is lovely...can't wait to buy mine!
you guys are just the bees knees for doing this
The poster looks great! Thanks for all the work. Much appreciated. I like that I'm smiling at Frank. I love Frank.
Ohhhh....puppies.
Lonnie and merwoman have astutely noted that a few bloggers appear twice--once as a drawing (donut, turtle, screaming mama, etc.) and once as a portrait of the person. This is deliberate. Kent Pitman made the reasonable request that it would be more familiar and useful to see the avatars we're used to seeing in people's comments and blogs, so unless there is a copyright issue, we've encouraged folks to submit their actual avatar. If your avatar is a cartoon, drawing, animal, etc. and you want to include it, but would also be happy to have an actual photo of yourself in the poster, please let us know (via message). Some bloggers wish to protect their identity from stalkers or keep their blog life separate from their work life, which we understand.

If anyone wants to be moved to the three corners near the squirrel, let us know. We'd like to fill those spots with squirrel lovers.

My dogs' feet have always smelled like sweet grass, a wonderful smell (except for when we took an extended trip out west and there wasn't any grass to walk on, only sand and stone). I also love the smell of wet dog, so I'm clearly not objective on this subject!
Loosk just great!!
Thanks for putting me and my O'Sister close together!
Hi, TeenDoc! Good to have you for a neighbor!
Weasel was a cute baby dog!!! Dog kisses!
rated for all the WORK this had to be!
Great work! Lots of fun seeing this take shape! Beautiful doggie!
Such great work, wow! Brava, Bravo! Dave, sorry we've been separated, but I know we'll both be happy with our new neighbors (as soon as I remember who some of mine are... shhh). Hope Joan doesn't mind Roger standing on her head... yes, yes, far preferable to tea bags.

Did I miss something or are Zerry and Thomas missing?
GREAT work! Thanks for doing this! Love the dog photos always and also great photo of your son with the grown up dog.
Sally, I've written two or three individual messages to Kerry (Zerry) and Thomas to no avail. Maybe someone else can prevail upon them to join us! I'm getting a complex about it! :)
Dogwoman! SkepticTurtle! STEVE! What a wonderful project, how wonderfully you have put it together. You deserve mucho thanks. And particular thanks for my abutment to my O'Sister, who I am following and supporting on all things O'S.

And... priceless puppy photos! PERFECT!

Rated for persistence, pleasure and perfection!
Between Little Lulu and the Baby Weasel, I'm done for!

PUPPY LUST! I have it.

My eyes, my eyes! The Cuteness has come to get me!
Hey everyone, we've now passed 300 on our drive to 399!

O'K, thanks for the kudos. It was Skeptic's great idea, and I'm just doing the graphics work. The real work of wranglin' all these OSers is due primarily to the crazy efforts by DogWoman, sending out individualized messages to folks inviting them to join in. If it weren't for that, we'd be languishing in the low one hundreds right now. BBE didn't take a determined DogWoman into account when the gauntlet was thrown down . . .
What a cool thing. I'd love to be part of it. God knows how you people pull this stuff off... (rated)
Thanks for visiting my site. I would like to add you as a friend. OK?
Sure, Annie, the more OS friends the merrier! Thanks!!!
Dogwoman:

Thanks for your kind remarks.

Your pup reminds me of my Aunt Rita's King. She would watch me when my grandmother worked. One of my most distinct childhood memories is playing marbles with King at the kitchen table.

Some marbles postwar in Germany were baked clay balls lightly glazed, even into the early sixties.

King would sit erect with his head cocked to the side on the table, catching my boulder shots across the table. He never erred. On retrieving a shot he would carry the marble in his mouth to my end of the table, returning to his end with his tongue a lolling and with what in my memory is a smile.

Michael Fey
Michael,

Wow. Neat story! You don't have a photo of King in the family archives somewhere, do you? This would make a great post! Thanks for an image I'll never forget. What a great dog your grandmother's King was! Feel free to send me a message when you put up a new post.
I emailed my pic to Steve and want to be next to the Squirrel, cuz, you know, I love fuzzy animals.
yawning puppy, sigh.

Sigh again.

One more time. Weez loves the precious pup.
Hi!

Made my evening which needed it....but am bummed as I appear, even after submission, to not have made the Poster.!
