“I have nobody to blame but myself for my stupidity and actions, words, things that I did, that I thought I could do,” was Blagojevich's comment on his sentencing. The former governor of Illinois was sentenced on Wednesday to 14 years in federal prison for 18 felony corruption convictions, including trying to sell or trade the Senate seat that President Obama left behind when he moved to the White House. A sad day for Illinois - I wish we would never again have to live through such corruption and arrogance - but I don't hold out much hope. I also wish I wasn't so cynical.
How is it that it's only today that he realized he had been stupid? His pretentiousness is simply stupifying.

Thanks for reporting...I'm afraid the corruption is so widespread and arrogance is so ubiquitous, no politician passes the integrity bar.
Maybe I am too cynical as well.
