autobiography in 100 words

Rate: 13 Flag

Born in summer. Two

parents, suicidal, find God!

Dad in seminary.

Family drives St. Louis to Seattle in a

Vega. Grandmother drinks wine from

boxes. Many schools...

Little church with organ music.

College in Georgia.

Car accident. To

Seattle, then Suwon, South Korea. A

women’s college teacher. To

Bellingham to study poetry. Social

services will make you poorer. A

cruise ship can be like a slave ship. To

Fall River to an odd school. Kids

call the town, “far rivah.”

And San Francisco too! Global company.

So much waste. Looking out 10th floor window. A

few words left. What

now?

Very nice and very informative for 100 words.

Kudos!
Peace and Love,
Greg
Thanks, Greg. And Peace and Love to you too...
Very good post. I like box wine too. Even though your "per glass" price goes down, your "per day" cost goes up. (rated)
"A cruise ship can be like a slave ship"
- I smell an EXCELLENT blog post here!!! Thumbs up :)
thanks caroleinTO...that's a good idea. and roger, I hadn't thought of that, but I'm sure you're right...when my grandmother moved to an assisted care facility, at the bottom of her basement steps we found all these grocery bags with one or two canned goods and a receipt that had a five litre box or two of wine on them. To keep up appearances she would purchase the can of tuna fish too. I'll never forget the sad sight of all those bags.

aiee carrumbagh. and thanks for reading!
Very pretty and San Francisco too!
This is wonderful. You're a poet, dear, blood and bone. You can try to run, but there it is: another poem.
Thanks.
This is sheer poetry at its best. A joy to read. Rated.
Dave read it. Jaw dropped. Wow!

But please step back from the 10th floor window.

Add me to those who want to hear more about this
I'm intrigued by your last two words, dolores. What indeed. I trust you will soon encounter just the thing.
Beautiful, and since I read it AFTER "A Cruise Ship Can Be Like A Slave Ship," I'm imagining each one of these short phrases blooming into something larger, unfolding like sunflowers.
