The One Thing I Am Not: Jejeune, CA, et al, if I like Him

Rate: 4 Flag

That's pretty funny to see Jejeune Podiatrist's post over there where Jack of Heart pointed out that some little birdy was going around telling people that I was CA, as I call him, for Caracella Ameunesis, his original screen name as I met him online what would now be three years ago.

For the record, I have never posted anything that wasn't pretty clearly me anywhere, and here on OS, it's only me. I can write quickly, but it's not like I didn't put up a lot as me, so... how much sense did that idea make in the first place, if its potentially a way to subtly slander some innocent party like CA, a staggering genius of heartbreaking proportions just waiting to be discovered.

The injustice of calling CA me. He should sue some people.

I have no alter egos on OS, CA included, although CA acts like an alter ego sometimes, like when I was about 12. CA likes to do that, if that's not really my style, which is rather obvious.

That's part of CA though, acting like a decadent Roman Emperor on a bad day, which is what he would like to be I think.

I think CA's fantasy is that he's a decadent Roman emperor when the Roman ruling class had nothing left to say or do, and so the strongest soldier tried to hold off the barbarians for as long as possible, but without the hope of illusions, which is probably part of why Christianity took over Rome after the time slowly but surely after the time of the real Caracella.

CA-Jejeune-whatever, Hugs, Wink, at one point did come over here a lot, which actually made Britomart, in real life my off and on girlfriend who teaches, but who also likes to be secretive, to the point of not telling her parents that I was her boyfriend for two years, think he was stalking me.

Britomart is also .... tempermental. Then again, is there a girl who isn't tempermental at times at least... not so far in my experience, Ladyblogs 101.Hugs.

I can verify that CA is definitely not a stalker, if he's... a little out there, maybe on days when he's off his lithium and on the scotch, or my bet, the days when he sees certain follies in the world, and is like the character Howard Beal on Network:"I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore."

Everyone has their Howard Beal days, if some a lot more than others, often though for understandable reasons.

I thought CA-Jejeune was basically funny, if every now and then in his rants... are a little over the top for tastes generated in a conservative even for Alabama household.

Well, a lot over the top, but, that's part of the Internet too. Hugs. Let's have an OS slumber party for the Ladyblogs.

As to his identity versus mine, sometimes CA was the only person who came over here, since the editors decided that they wouldn't let me in their stupid little club, in spite of the fact that I have been published as a documented fact of public record and on topics that are somewhat interesting and some would argue somewhat important, if not perhaps as important as "Ladyblog" material.

Maybe I need to wear a dress in the future when I post for OS, although I don't think it would look good on me, since I'm kind of ... furry, among other reasons.

As to me and who I am, I do have posts on Blogger I believe about the "White Trash Professor," and the "Kentucky Fried Professor," the latter much more of, but even then, who I am was clearly stated in the tagline, since part of what I was trying to get across was my educational background as to why what I was writing has potential value.

So no, I am not CA, if he likes to come over here a lot, or used to, to "play" with other people's heads mainly.Poor CA, thought of as a stalker by Britomart, and now alleged to be me.

I think he should be more offended to be thought of as me.

CA and me are kind of funny, as I rarely rant, and as he on the otehr hand clearly likes to provoke people on the Left sometimes in some of his online incarnations in a way that one can't say is considered what is  completely "socially acceptable" in "polite company," and yet I like him, if I'm not him.

CA's right by the way that his brilliant post The Egyptian Secret Policeman's Manual was worthy of an EP, as that was so Swiftian in character, something seemingly lost in this politically correct age so dominated by "Ladyblogs."

If published now, I bet Swift's "A Modest Proposal" would draw out a lot of humorless Leftist activists protesting about "the insensitivity towards the poor" shown by that classic work of satire.

I just thought of a post called Ladyblogs From Caveman Times to the Present that might offend some people's sensibilities here:

"Honey, am I am more important to you, or your stupid hunting buddies with the mammoths? Can you move that antler a little bit to the right, honey? If you loved me you'd do that. Your being selfish by not paying more attention to me. You didn't go pick that Florus Saber Toothicus from the tiger's cave for our anniversary. My best friend's caveman did that. Why didn't I listen to my mother and marry that Neanderthal?"

Is that offensive, true, or therefore both, as to letting CA just be CA, if, when he steps over a line here or there on race or obscentiy, it has to come down, which he knows, since this is done under my name, riskier in the world we live in.

I like CA, and tolerate his Caracella-like excesses, which I bet was where that name came from as to excesses for which the Ilyrian peasant emperor was rather known, again when the barbarians got really strong, and the "chattering classes" no longer had anything useful to say, and so the strongest soldier henceforward ruled Rome.

That's because CA bashes some Leftist shibboleths that need it sometimes, as personally I have never found people on the Left any nicer than the supposed meanies on the Right when it came to getting what they wanted politically, not an iota, if the Left often does so with a sense of self-righteousness that not only is more annoying than the overt sneering aggressiveness of the fascists, but less effective, since it has a more delusive quality as to motive and because it can come off every bit as condescending as the fascists, because it is; "meet the new boss, same as the old boss" is one of the most important statements in political science.

And yet... not completely so?

I would probably pick the Gracci over the Optimates, barely, but in the end, although I would always rather someone, thing, place in the middle of that eternal choice, the Few or the Many, if it doesn't seem to usually work out that way as to the center not failing.

But as to CA, Jejeune, whatever, he's always welcome here, if every now and then I wish he would curb some of his .... more profane statements, since my kids some day may read this, or may sometimes now read this, but as to being him, I'm not, if I wish him well. Hugs.

Donny, it's quite a coincidence you should mention 'mommyblogs.' I'm really a mommyblogger, so if you Google 'Gwydion Plumstead', that's my butch persona, you will see how many times I got self-inseminated, and reincarnated as different utensils...spatula, oyster fork...wink. Oh, Cheeze GR-rated!
Hi CA. Congratulations on your mommyblog incarnation, as you are certainly a versatile genius of staggering proportions whose heartbreak is to be unloved on OS.
You ain't CA, I don't care what they say.

"[the Left] is more annoying than the overt sneering aggressiveness of the fascists"

Yeah, that's what Hitler said just before getting steamrolled by that annoying lefty FDR. Regardless, if you like fascists then CA's your man, though I doubt if he'd know a real fascist unless one crawled up his ass and died.

Hug.
Hitler was more left than FDR. Unless I'm confused. Which is often the case.
Julie. You're confused. Read this wonderful essay I wrote on the subject.

http://www.open.salon.com/blog/rw005g/2010/09/12/was_hitler_really_a_socialist
In fact, the 2 nations that smashed Hitler in WW2, the US and USSR, were rather lefty, were they not? lol
eh, you and I disagree, and I'm in the middle of an overtired, tipsy, needing to be right moment, so
ok...you win
Full disclosure: I outsource my manufacturing to a sweatshop in Xianging, where thirty Chinese children crank out blogposts under my brand.
That's the funny part, RW005g, that fascism was smashed by those lefties who annoy Don so much. Fascists are kinda stupid, what with the goose-stepping and hatemongering and sneering and so forth, but they had 'em some snazzy uniforms.
Julie, Hitler used the "socialism" tag in his National Socialist party and that actually fools some people, but he was a classic right-winger, a fascistic little motherfucker from the tips of his toes to the end of his funny little mustache.
Nana, you and I also disagree, but hugs all around :)
and Con...I'd always wondered about your prolificness
It doesn't matter whether we disagree or not Julie; Hitler was a right winger. What makes you think he was a leftist? (hug)
I suspected that Con. But you can have a hug anyway.
I just mean a certain ... type of self-righteous leftie, as opposed to the more avert straight up "I'm an asshole and proud of it" rightie. The latter is more honest, if, it has its own issue as to being so offputting, like in fact the Nazis were, to say Russians. "Your plan is to enslave and/or kill all of us, since your the "master race." Well, I really'd like to get rid of Stalin, but you aren't the alternative I'm looking for."
For example, there was this 60 Minutes episode a week ago, which was kind of a metaphor for the Obama people.
The first part was national defense, which we can all get behind at some level.
The second part was the NFL, a mix of Capitalism and Socialism.
The third is what the Obama people, it was almost saying, don't want to be, which was this anti-hunting zealot who on principle wants to prevent oryx's being hunted in Texas. Its not ideal having oryx's only live on ranches in Texas on 30,000 acres, but, hunting them, and it was a hunt on 30,000 acres, not in a pen, beats being extinct, if you're an oryxx, but, that might not happen now, due to a "do gooder." Then again, the right has its own wing nuts too, and the point of the show was pretty clearly, and not really subtle, "Obama isn't a wingnut." As to what I was getting at, but now we need a group hug, which to be fair, is easy to make fun of, but even the hardest core neo-fascist so proud of their "toughness" needs a hug every now and then.
CA and I had our times, but you have to admit, he can damn sure stir up some crap!
Sigh, not going there Nana, just not. RWs got me all thinking and homesick and I'm off to go listen to German radio. MY Germany, not YOUR version :p~
My Germany, the one I grew up in, was so left it makes you look right wing. Although sometimes I swear you go so left as to be almost militant, which would make you right....right, in your rightness so to speak. I could see you driving towards revolution so certain you had the upper ground, and slaughtering all those who got in your way or didn't agree.
that probably doesn't make any sense- oh well

(hug)
Um....................OK.
RW needs a hug too. And where is CA-Jejeune for all this loving mushy tribute.
Get your ass over CA, and make a spectacle of yourself, and then we can give you a group hug!
I like hugs, but I'd rather have a Guinness. 8)
I'm gonna start handing out cyber-beers instead of hugs, on OS. Theres something more masculine and working-class about that, IMHO.
But we all need hugs RW, so here's a big online hug!
I like the "hugger" by the way, but, it was hard to resist, especially with such a .... prickly character like Caracella. Roger on the beer RW, like a PBR or Bud, and not Bud lite, but the real deal.
