Freaky Might Faint

Rate: 17 Flag

The very first OS friend I met in person was Freaky Troll, who was kind enough to bring along The Woman Who Carries The Purse. We met at a local bakery whose award-winning chef has put our little burg  of West Seattle on the culinary map. Of *course* we had cake. Many kinds. Freaky wrote about it here.

The bakery was just featured in an article in our very excellent local newssource,  the West Seattle blog.  Enjoy!

Happy New Year, Freaky, and everyone! Here's to lots of cake-smashing in the new year.

Ahhh! Donna, you are so sweet. Let me just say, it is a pleasure to know have met you in person. :) Happy New Year!
Daisy is the nicest woman and she has nice cats that stayed away from my hair the whole time!

And I got to float! And smash into cake. It was a fantasticking time.

The bakery people were super cool and I got to meet their friends too. It's one of my favorite memories.
This is the kind of thing that requires smell-o-vision.
I think we need to discuss if this should get an EP!

*dodges Ugg boot thrown at my head*
I'll fix Harry up with a tall connect woman and he'll be distracted.
Freaky, we'll have to do a return trip someday, I think they've had enough time to recover from the first one...

Sparking, Janie, Surly, Miko and Harry...cake and almond croissants for all of you! (Ah, Harry, you know it's not the EPs that keep me coming back....but you know, I could use a pair of Ugg boots..)
Let me know when Donna I'll be there for cake and to meet you & Freaky & Sparking......
What a lovely threesome you must have made. Happy New Year to you all.
You too, Lea! I hope Seattle is on your itinerary in 2010! (What with the Mr. Bill doll, the rubber chicken, and other assorted characters who mysteriously appeared from behind Bakery Nouveau's counter, we were more like a seven-some....Freaky has the most amazing impact on people....)
I gained two pounds just watching the video. ::thud::
Here's to Freaky and Donna -- and a glorious New Year to all!
Biblios...imagine what it's like having it in the neighborhood. Resistance is futile!

Happy New Year to you too, Steve - thanks for stopping by!
Thanks so much Donna. I am going the next time I am over there. What a great tip. I need a new hangout in Seattle. I went to the Cloud Room in the Camlin Hotel for years and was brokenhearted when they closed it. Got any place like that for me? View, piano music mellow...
Happy New Year to you both. xoxo
Spud - the Cloud Room! ::sigh:: I still miss that place...there are a few charmers in the Market and a lot of new hotels, but nothing that really compares..get in touch when you're on this side of the mountains!

Y Heron - yes :)
Amanda - To you too! Thanks for stopping by...
Happy New Year to the Ladies (and various plastic toys) who Lunch!
