I have been fasciinated by the Titanic for a long time. It was such a beautiful ship. Some of the artifacts that have been found are amazingly still in tact. I've often wondered what it would've been like for all of those people who parished on this ship. At first it had to be very exciting for them to be able to board this new ship and to be traveling to America. These were some of the richest people, and some of the poorest people who were looking to start a new life in America.
The Titanic belonged to the White Star Lines. It was launched on April 10, 1912. It sank at 2:20 a.m. on April 15, 1912 after running into an iceburg. It took a total of 2 hours and 40 minutes for it to sink. The Titanic now lies 12,460 Ft. at the bottom of the atlantic ocean. It was actually found in September of 1985. Below are some pictures, then and now.
