Sheena Davis sat next to me in French class as I was a junior and she was a sophomore in high school.
She listened closely outside and turned to me and pointed outside as we were on the back risers of the French class together and said, "That's my boyfriend in the yellow mustang there." As she did a 70's yellow mustang with glass packs roared in front of the high school.
What she isn't saying but implying here is that her 'boyfriend' knows where I am and the kind of car I drive and they are going to follow me around and have friends out of high school to help. This is evidenced later as well with the fight Shawn Jaimez started with two blacks and the black fellow and his gang that Matt Davies took me to behind the Medical plaza back in the day on 6th and Maine. The only thing coming is a fight too. Obviously that is all they have to offer up is a fight. This is what she is meaning. The year is 1987 and I am almost 17 years old.
I am not sure why we sat next to each other. Mrs. Judd might have placed us next to each other on purpose. Teachers seem to have done that regularly. Never thought about it until I had to describe my life later.
I drove a yellow mustang too. That is the tricky part and on top of that I am sure I never told her this. She just knew it. She also knew when her 'boyfriend' who was much older and out of high school would be driving by as we were in French class together.
Almost as coincidental as Ron Barfield showing up during my lunch break the year before.
So it is the 17th of February and we a more than half way through 'My personal history with blacks month' and I am still describing blacks from high school and my interactions with them.
I saw Sheena Davis a few years later in Hastings which is also where I saw Troy Brown. Hastings books and video. This is also where Jerry Hunter and Garland Garcia Hall the pimp preacher pedophile took me once, as if I should have ever let anybody black ever take me anywhere. Sheena was real mad about something or other and they were having kids storytime in the back...... I have to frequent places in order for them to chase me there I guess and I prefer bookstores to bars.
