Poem: What Once Was Young

Rate: 2 Flag

Young:Old

 What once was young

too soon grows old;

the smile that once drew lovers

soon goes ignored, unseen.

What will surely be forever

vanishes softly as a sigh.

And the sought become the seekers

whom the now-sought will not see.

With youthful hearts in aging forms,

life’s lesson’s in this rhyme:

The one thing never changing

is the gentle laugh of Time.
