Number 17 - Muderball
Directed by Henry Alex Rubin and Dana Adam Shapiro
This is my attempt to praise my favorite thirty documentaries of the last ten years. If you do not agree, and I am sure some won’t, that is your opinion, I am just expressing mine. This list was inspired by my attendance of the annual True/False Film Festival.
Overcoming my daily obstacles can seem daunting at times. But after watching this film and seeing what these men have overcome to compete in a brutally physical sport it makes you wonder if I have any obstacles at all. "Murderball" or Quad Rugby is fast paced and extremely physical. It is also a way for these men to give a little back. In a world where they face daily challenges and obstacles in many forms, on the court they are the ones who control everything around them.
