#36 “I’ve been ready for this my whole life!” Rudy - Rudy 1993
When do we know we have reached our peak? When do we realize we are ready to share our successes? Each game we play, each risk we take; we take it as competition within ourselves to win. Whether we play for a team, or play for ourselves; we are winners in our own minds before we are losers. Stepping on the field we are a part of something greater than the game. We are embracing hard work and dedication through persistence and attitude. We are achieving confidence from the crowd. We are ready.
If each match-up in the game of life is about putting numbers up on the board, what is your score today?
Are you kicking field goals or scoring touchdowns? Are you shooting 3-pointers or doing lay-ups? Are you walking to first base, or hitting home runs? Each game has a coach, each game has rules... who's your coach and what are your rules? We want to win, yet, how do we handle failure? As we realize each loss, we just toughen up the skill. We must take the head out of the distraction and put the head back into the game.
When training and determination create a skill, we continue to build a confidence to ultimate excellence.
I am ready, I am ready to compete in life. I am ready to win the game. I can hit home-runs, I can shoot 3-pointers, and I can damn well catch a touchdown pass. When you realize you have been chasing something your whole life and find that its always been in you; you realize dreams are possible.
I know you can do it, I know you will do it.
I know this because if you haven't know any better, then you wouldn't know what it felt like to win; and you wouldn't know perserverance after a loss. Dream big, keep winning and let the world know when you are ready.
