#59 “In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women.” Tony Montana - Scarface 1983
Making money. Does that constitute power? If money didn't talk, and success didn't walk; why do we have to continue down the path of perceptual money transfer? Where does our money really go? Who is really wanting our money? I'm sure it is completely obvious where our money is, and where it goes. But, ultimately, if we choose to make more money than we spend; are we wasting it?
Checks and balances; who keeps us in balance; who keeps us in check?
Are people who have more money; happier? Are people with less money; happy-less? Often at times, it is a full circle of reality when the happy and the less fortunate interact. Why are we constantly comparing ourselves and our lifestyles with those we don't know, or better yet; those we do? Money is a Monopoly. Money is the game of Life. I think the dude that invented those board games knew exactly what it was about. They knew that Yahtzee was the game of rolling the dice, and Clue was a mystery.
Is life a monopoly; where we are constantly rolling the dice, with an intention to out-smart our opponent?
Think about how much power money exudes. Think about how much destruction money entails. What game of money best suits you? Recall the moment where you played Monopoly, your intention was to capitalize the other players. You were buying, selling, and strategizing your next move; hoping to win that big payout when someone lands on your "property".
Who's landed on your property? For most, its the bank.
They should update their game to reflect a world with foreclosures, and commercial vacancies. The railroads are not as prominent as airplanes anymore. Yet, the airlines began to go under as well. So, who knows... if we broke down the American dream to a minority of capitalism; have we broken down the morality of opportunity in America? If money is power and power is money; Trivia Pursuit is ultimately about just being smarter. What game decides when you get the woman? I guess that's another story.
Now... when you start acting out by waving your arms around and mimicking riding a horse; we'll just say you are playing a game of charades and that you really don't think you are the rhinestone cowboy!
