#62 “For most people, Friday’s just the day before the weekend. But after this Friday, the neighborhood’ll never be the same.” Craig Jones - Friday 1995
Awe yes.... the day before the weekend. The day we all look forward to starting on Monday. I know a few people that find excitement in Mondays; those are the people who claim there job is not work, its just a part of their dream. What does a Friday mean to you? Is it your slack off day? Is it your kick butt, before the weekend, day?
Can a Friday just mean its the start of a different job; home.
The laundry list of chores, the kids sporting games, the entertainment of friends and family coming by. Friday's as kids meant the end of the week, who's house you were going to crash for the weekend. Friday's for those in their twenties meant, p-a-r-t-y! As we age, do Friday's mean less to us, then they used to? I mean unless you are in your mid thirties spending the night at people's houses, maybe not; but, really, are Friday's not that big of a deal?
Do Friday's give us the case of the Mondays?
A lot of songs are about Friday. Songs tell us stories about the "simplistic" life everyone could have. The Friday where the fellas are going out, the Friday's where the wife dresses up all sexy and goes to a nice romantic dinner with her man. The order pizza while having 3 kids bouncing off the walls and you can't wait to just put on a movie when they fall asleep, Friday.
If we work so hard during the week for the weekend, why is Friday an excuse to blow it?
If we can make it happen all week, be successful in nature; Fridays are just another day. If we sit at home, with no job, no future, no dreams; we smoke away our weekend beginning on Friday. Shit, "You win some, you lose some. But you live, you live to fight another day."- Mr. Jones
