Title
One Movie Line At A Time
Bio
Growing up loving movies, and quoting infamous lines, N. Jordan is about taking life's given competition and embracing it through movies quotes. Each posting reflects a personal understanding on how movies effect people, our lives and our fake realities. If life is a movie, why do we compete in so many ways? Sports, love, relationships, family, business, money, career, kids, etc. Its time to see who is keeping score. Because... life is sometimes an altered reality, just go at it one movie line at a time. My real name is Michelle Keifer. But, I've always wanted to talk about life through a guy's perspective. Just seemed so fitting as I've always been just one of the boys. Go New England Patriots!

If we are all competitors by nature, are we the nature of all competition? When you actually realize that competition surrounds you in almost everything you do, are you in, all perception aside; aware of your own competitive state? As we compete our inner demons, our exuberance within our peers, and even our closest approval seekers; we must maintain our own composure or we will be defeated. Knowing the strategy of your competitor is sometimes looked upon as knowing your right foot versus your left. However, do our competitors often at times surprise us? Do they find a way to undermine perception and persevere with excellence?

I am a competitor. I want to win. I have faced failure and it is cold, blind, and uncomfortable.

What, or better yet, who, makes you compete? Isn't your best friend, your spouse, partner, or mate? Can it quite possibly be your boss, your teammates, and your inferiors because they come with pre-identified labels? We must draw the line at some point between risk, success, failure and loss. I can't believe how many wasted thoughts were on losing something or someone so valuable. I knew those that frolicked in success and fell over in their own failure, were those that walked a straight line and didn't find pain in stumbling.

Do you want to be swimming in the company's kool-aid, or out in an ocean full of sharks?

Think about Indiana Jones. Wasn't he invincible to his competition? Wasn't he oblivious to giving up? He was inspired by having a mission; can you say the same about yourselves? When we look at people's agendas; they could be hidden or out in the open; we tend to look past those we can't read and into those we can. Having a purpose is the goal of competition. Having an exit strategy to failure is sometimes used to save-face; make the pain less known. But, there is always bruises; and there will always be a competitor.

"Fools. Bureaucratic fools....They don't know what they've got there." - Indiana Jones

Its time to know what you have, seek what you are missing, and frolic in that sea of success with the rest of the folks that you know are competing you for the same spot.
