Title
One Movie Line At A Time
Bio
Growing up loving movies, and quoting infamous lines, N. Jordan is about taking life's given competition and embracing it through movies quotes. Each posting reflects a personal understanding on how movies effect people, our lives and our fake realities. If life is a movie, why do we compete in so many ways? Sports, love, relationships, family, business, money, career, kids, etc. Its time to see who is keeping score. Because... life is sometimes an altered reality, just go at it one movie line at a time. My real name is Michelle Keifer. But, I've always wanted to talk about life through a guy's perspective. Just seemed so fitting as I've always been just one of the boys. Go New England Patriots!

#127 "The Notebook"... love lasts a lifetime.

Rate: 3 Flag

the notebook

"It's not about keeping your promises, and it's not about following your heart. It's about security."

Young Noah

The Notebook

2004

"So it's not gonna be easy. It's gonna be really hard. We're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, for ever, you and me, every day. Will you do something for me, please? Just picture your life for me? 30 years from now, 40 years from now? What's it look like?" - Young Noah

In our earliest adolescence we start picking on girls; we start chasing boys; we are practicing for adulthood, yet not even aware of our behavior. When we start realizing that we fall in love with those we know we want to write our chapters in our life with, we want those chapters to start right now; and the book to have a happy ending. A storytell finish in a realistic role.

The other day I thought about this film. How a man with passion, desire, love and life to give; had so little on the outside to offer such a woman of high class, wealth and status. Noah was poor, but was Allie's first love, and her parents didn't agree. When time, separation, and interference separated these two; something drew Allie back to the home in which was restored for her, by Noah.

Love can often be hidden, or withdrawn; yet, when its apparent and alive, it must be expressed and pursued.

So, as we think about love on this very Valentine's Day, we think about the feelings we have for one another; our friends, our families, our lovers, and even ourselves. We think about the value that someone puts on sharing that love and exploring that emotion with us. We scale our perception of hearts and flowers, and chocolates to prove feelings and solidify the love we feel.

The Notebook gave people a second chance at patient love. The Notebook offered people hope in responding to someones compassion with true validity and recourse.

As we watch young Noah and young Allie age and grow, we are captivated by the consistency in love and admiration of a man. A man who wants her heart and she can't give it to him when shes in love with another. What becomes of the catalyst to true love, is the catalyst to want and desire of oneself, it takes patience and persistence; it takes work.

"Would you stop thinking about what everyone wants? Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants, what your parents want. What do YOU want? What do you WANT?" - Young Noah

On this Valentine's day, ask yourself what it is that you want. Ask yourself what it is that has been wanting you for such time. We live in the present with the future in mind; yet, we only think about the past when trying to rebuild or rediscover the passion. Did Noah build a house to demonstrate the foundation of Young Allie and Young Noah, or did Noah build a house to prove his worth that life is whats between the walls?

You mean something to someone; share that something with someone today. You might not be in love, you actually might not even like them at the time; but, remember, today is the present; its time to build on your future; its time to write your story.

Carpe Diem!
