Title
One Movie Line At A Time
Bio
Growing up loving movies, and quoting infamous lines, N. Jordan is about taking life's given competition and embracing it through movies quotes. Each posting reflects a personal understanding on how movies effect people, our lives and our fake realities. If life is a movie, why do we compete in so many ways? Sports, love, relationships, family, business, money, career, kids, etc. Its time to see who is keeping score. Because... life is sometimes an altered reality, just go at it one movie line at a time. My real name is Michelle Keifer. But, I've always wanted to talk about life through a guy's perspective. Just seemed so fitting as I've always been just one of the boys. Go New England Patriots!

#147 "Blow".... stop to smell the roses.

Rate: 3 Flag
Blow

"It was the greatest feeling I ever had. Followed abruptly by the worst feeling I ever had."

George

Blow

2001

I think George (Johnny Depp) is talking about the high and then the low. I think George is talking about the hunt and the ultimate capture. I think George is talking about the boy turning into the man, and the man becoming identified by his past. Believe it or not, George is talking about "blow", and that my friend is just a euphanism.

"Life passes most people by while they're making grand plans for it."

- George

Don't you agree? Do you tend to disagree? Life hands us many great splendor, the opportunity to make choices and the decision to be realistically planning for it, or perhaps just living it. I wake up each day knowing that life has something in store for me, knowing that life will shock, surprise, and catch me off guard. I've learned that perception is just the blind side through your side window on your car. You can't see through it unless you move forward a notch or hesitate on the accelerator.

"Danbury wasn't a prison, it was a crime school. I went in with a Bachelor of marijuana, came out with a Doctorate of cocaine." - George

Blow is a movie that demonstrates what one will do in time of powerless circumstances. Blow is a movie that discovers that one road and step down a beaten path is sometimes more rockier than once imagined. The domino effect to one addiction in which leads to another is inconclusive of the pattern in which humans tend to manifest. The addiction to deal marijuana then cocaine was a desire to get ahead.

How many times have you bent the rules or become addicted to something to get ahead?

Is it true that the once time something delivers, it will consistently re-deliver and re-deliver with the same premise? To each one of us, the choice to combine life and how time marches on is ultimately the truth to find what beat to what drum we are taking.

Thought this was a perfect example of how time continues on the pendulum of reality. Sometimes we sit and watch it go, other times we jump on the swing and take life for a ride. I guess we just need to believe in ourselves. I guess we just need to know when to stop and smell the roses.

Jordan, in my life, I've always come upon two roads. One I know is safe. I can take this road and be like other people. The house, the wife, the dog, the picket fence. I always get to the edge of that road,"Yell," Fuck It" and run down the other road, the one that isn't marked. It is a dangerous road, filled with ghosts and goblins, but there is also gold, if you can find it. I never found the gold, but I had a hell of a time looking!
I think there's a line I won't forget: "100% Colombian cocaine, DISCO shit!" Wonderful review and a cool film. Rated.
So this movie is so not my subject matter, but you're right -- it is all about choices!
scanner.. I hear ya. Two roads. The one always traveled and the one less likely to travel. We always want to go down the "right" path, but the other one has adventure and unknown right? Nice insight and feedback. thanks,

Thoth... GREAT line!!! Very cool.

Julie...not really mine either.. but, the cinematography was awesome. Penelope Cruz is beautiful too.
