Happy Friday the 13th -I mean Valentine's Day(with chickens)

Rate: 8 Flag

chickenfriday13_6

Another little known fact about me is that my mother-in-law owns a flower shop. As you might imagine, I have spent much of today delivering flowers (sans Jason mask), and will spend tomorrow in the car doing more of the same. So...please forgive me for letting the chickens do the work for me this holiday. At some point in time I do plan on actually writing a real post - it is horrible to have all these stories rattling around in my head, but not have the energy or time to do them justice. In the meantime, I wish everyone here a psycho-free Valentine's Day - with flowers!

What the hell. Chickens have always been good enough for Easter, might as well include them for tomorrow too. Besides, a little cluck and peck now and then is always good for releasing stress.

Happy Valentines Day, Diva
This was cute and thank you. Happy Valentine's Day to you also.
Good luck sounds like you need it.
Thanks, Bob - I cluck and peck alternately. It is a good stress reliever indeed.

Fireeyes - thanks for the well wishes. Flower delivery is enjoyable for the most part - until the recipient isn't home when they said they would be - or you are given the wrong address - or they have a vicious dog, etc...
Flower delivery sounds like a wondrous thing to be doing right now. Happy recipients and all!
I think the pleasant surprise on people's faces may offset the hard work of delivering the product dealing with traffic, etc. I hope so, anyway!
What would Valentine's Day be without chickens? Wishing you a psycho-free V-Day, too. :)
Love chickens.
Watch for cars.
I completely forgot it was Friday the 13th! Hope you find the time to get those stories out of your head and onto the screen -- I always feel a sense of panic when I have stories or plots or scenes in my head and can't find time to get them onto paper. I used to write scenes or ideas on index cards so as not to lose them. It always made me feel less panicked. happy valentine's day to you, too!
A psycho-free Bonne Saint Valentin to you my dear Mme Diva!
Well, Dusty, it will likely wear you out but a lot of folks will be pleased with the flowers. I wouldn't be, but that's just me. Whenever anybody sends flowers this way I always think it would be better had they sent money. How's that for cheap? Call me Scrooge.

Monte ;-)
Lea - you are right. Delivery is the best part of the business. It certainly beats answering the phone!

Michael - I do enjoy seeing people smile when they answer the door. And fortunately our town is small, so traffic is rarely an issue.

Lisa - thank you! Glad you enjoyed the chickens - for some reason, they just speak to me.
O'stephanie - I'm sending you a virtual bouquet today. And certainly I'll be watching out for cars.

Suzie -thanks - it is a panicky feeling to have stories trapped in your mind. I like the idea of jotting down ideas on index cards - think I might give that a try, since it could be a few months before I'm able to fully focus on writing much.

M.Chariot - merci beaucoup - you are most kind!

Monte - I would never consider you a Scrooge! Not everyone enjoys flowers - I'll just send your arrangement to someone else now;)

Now I'm done with my coffee and it's off to the races. Hopefully I'll have some time this evening to read some of the posts that are teasing me on the right hand of my screen.
I hope you get to rest today! Then you can start getting those amazing stories out of your head and on some kind of writing material. :)
Thanks, screamin mama. I'm trying to recoup - things went smoothly yesterday, which isn't always the case. Unfortunately, I have this pesky exam tomorrow which I must study for - I'm trying to be disciplined about it - I'd certainly rather read and hang out on OS all the livelong day, but must limit myself to brief visits:(
Yes, I must keep my visits limited too, but I do miss you all when I'm not here! Best wishes on your exam. :)
Oh Diva. Where are you? That school dun kilt you :-)
Bob - that is pert near the truth. Been a brutal week - I am in survival mode at the moment. Taking a few minutes though to escape into OS before I start in on my research paper. Ugh. I'd much rather be researching all the posts I've missed!
Great to have you back amongst the lazy's again. Now get out of here and get to work :-)

Them damned pita schools, they's notn but but a gaggle of hard-core terrorists, jist waitn to terture fine young ladies such as yerself.

Good to see you, my friend.
Diva me too- I miss this place so much :(
how ever did it happen that i missed posts by one of my favorite OSers?

i just looked at the date of this post and realized it was friday 13/V. day eve when you posted this, which explains how i missed it. i was in my basement hiding 'til sunday morning rolled around. the Jason mask seems entirely appropriate!
