"What are the roots that clutch, what branches grow Out of this stony rubbish? Son of man, You cannot say, or guess, for you know only A heap of broken images, where the sun beats, And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief, And the dry stone no sound of water."

T.S. Eliot  "The Wasteland"

Dear OS friends:

Just writing to let you know that I am in the final exhausting stage of my journey through nursing school. I am encouraged by Dostoevsky's quote:  "man can survive where swine would perish and laugh where the gods go mad". See - there is a benefit to being an English major. I miss OS tremendously. Wish I was there with all of you frolicking about the feed.  Hope to return before long.

Hang in there! Here's to finishing that degree very very soon.
Oh there you are are Nurse Betty! Hell, I was sure some twister had absconded with you, or you had hitched a ride with a storm chaser who'd wooed you in the ways of adrenalin and excitement, and we were never to be graced by Nurse Diva again.

The finish line is drawing you near, your mouth is dry, your lungs heaving, legs are like rubberbands and your mind is mush. Your one step away from the twilight zone - graduation.

Good job kiddo. Damned good job.
DbD- Good work, girl! The nursing service won't know what hit 'em! I've been missing you!-Julie
Forgiven! "Real life" is overrated. Ha. Will be good to see you back when the time is right DBD.
Best Wishes! Loved the postcard...
Love the Dostoevsky quote! Hang in there!
Thanks for the postcard. Good luck on the final stretch!
dusty, keep your head down and come back when you are done. The Hotel California has held your room for you.
dear dust bowl diva, Dostoevsky's quote is encouraging. Thanks for that! Chances are you don't know me here if you've been gone lately and I'm fairly new ... but I love T.S. Eliot and am an English major too (and while that usually doesn't come with $$) it comes with a lifetime of authors. Good luck.
Best of luck. Good to hear from you!!!
Thanks for checking in. Miss you.
Belated thanks to one and all for your kind and encouraging comments. Looking forward to the day when I can catch up with all my favorites here.
