Joy to the Earth

Rate: 9 Flag

Haven't seen you in awhile to talk actually with you.   I hope the holidays are good to you.   I'm still living with my co-dysfunctional friends at the farm, and the only one of us spending time with family this year is André.   He's taking care of his Dad, who's 80 something and dying, and this will be their last Christmas together...  My two kids are at my son's place in Santa Cruz, with their Mom, who flew out to Cali.

I'm sitting here quietly listening to Chopin's Nocturnes.   Thought of you.   I hope all is well with you.

Merry Christmas.

Things are okay here. I'll leave work in a few hours and head 25 east to my Aunt's house for xmas eve dinner. It'll be cool.
Then I'll have 3 whole days off work to putter about at home, alone. I'm okay with that though. I like quiet times alone.
I'm hopeful for the New Year and look forward to some excitement in my life--some by chance, some in the making.
Maybe I'll see you in 2010.
Take care, my friend!
xoxoxo,

Take good care of yourself.
I will also be spending Christmas alone this year. Well, the cats will be here. Merry Christmas, Bruce! I've enjoyed your work over the past year. Be well, my friend.
MERRY CHRISTMAS To you..
Where have you been? welcome back and Merry Christmas, dear!
Turns out my two are in Tahoe after all. Daughter Michelle is ski bummin' for the winter and just started a new job on the mountain, so she couldn't get time off. She's working Christmas day. Son Lars got a free pass and was boarding all day today. He's in hog heaven; and I can relate, having been a ski bum myself for a few seasons. I was a ski instructor back in the day when there was no such thing as snowboards. Bend zee knees... I still seek out the steeps, the moguls; in the trees, and I'm looking forward to going up to see Michelle and meeting Lars up there when my ex isn't in tow and the holidaze are over. Arriva derchi.

Thanks everyone, for your friendship most of all. Love you. Merry Christmas and pinot noir.
Merry Christmas, Dyno...the music sounds wonderful...xox
...although it occurs to me I might be on a beach right now, where the coldest thing is the drink in my hand... instead of up here freezin' my ass off.
Merry Christmas and hope the new year brings you much happiness.
Mebbe it brings me to Tennessee. Who knows? If so, I'll buy you a cocktail. Thanks, Tom. I hope happiness is anchor, chain, vessel, and safe harbor for All of U.S.
Hey Bruce, thanks for the note and glad tidings. Wishing you good health and good fortune in the coming year, too. Wouldn't mind being in Tahoe myself right about now... Highly recommend that Tennessee trip.

Peace, brother.
Merry Christmas Bruce...you can be alone with people too. Enjoy the day, it is all we get, one at a time.
I hope you're listening to Arthur Rubinstein's performance of those nocturnes. They are incomparable. Merry Christmas!
I am enjoying a fresh cuppa coffee, just ground and steeped in my French press, black no sugar; with Arthur Rubenstein on the speakers, playing Chopin's concertos. I'll hafta look into his performance of the Nocturnes, Steve thank you. I do love Chopin, amongst many others. I think his Romance: Larghetto is mebbe the prettiest piece of music I've ever heard, and I have some indelible memories to go with that particular selection. The ground outside is gilt with a thick mantle of frost, and I am warming.

Thank you all for your well wishes;
and may you share in the blessing.

Om shanti shanti Om.
