Because we have a choice

Rate: 11 Flag

Little do we comprehend, let alone acknowledge that we are surrounded by angels...  Every person is an incarnation of the divine breath of God.  When you see someone else, you are seeing yourself in another incarnation.  So be happy, be kind; and be loving.

The doom 'n gloomsters have so much ugly filth 'n fodder to wade through, it seemed time to raise a voice for love, because it's all around us... so rejoice.

It doesn't hurt a bit.
Doom'n'gloom can be debilitating, but as I said in the comments on my post Casa de los Baptists, given a choice between considered cynicism and thoughtless naivete, I prefer the former to the latter. Of course, as with any false dichotomy, there are other choices.
There is a line in Hebrews that your note reminds me of: "Be kind to strangers for you may be entertaining angels unawares."
Thank you Monte and Tom, whom I honor as a man and fellow doom 'n gloomer who wants to make a difference; knowing the PTB will have to be exorcised before any real progress will ever be made. It's just that lately I've been thinking there's no end to the train wrecks and hideous insult, and if I have to fill my world with something, I'd rather it's kindness and compassion and love.
Great thing to keep in mind. I'll always try :)
dynomyte and

@monte - coincidentally, my friend and I were talking of that Hebrews passage last night...
Thank you so much, dyno. I've been feeling a little overwhelmed by the chaos in the media these days.
The chaos and misery is endless, isn't it...? ...which is precisely why I posted this blog, as an antidote to the madness. And yes, Mary that passage in Hebrews is allways something to keep in mind.
An oasis of peace and friendship and love. Thank you.
Wise words, hard to live by, but essential to remember.
i fear I have not read or commented on your posts for too long.

I am a nonbeliever. There is no God, there are no angels, there is only the illusion of a soul.

And yet I embrace this with all my heart and honor you for writing it, living it:

" So be happy, be kind; and be loving. "

Go figure.
We who believe love the unbelievers too. You are just as precious, and just, perhaps, more sensible... and just not yet visited by angels. We can't fault you for that.

Do you believe in extra terrestrial beings from other star systems?
Kindness is the too seldom used key....
