the Equinox

Rate: 4 Flag
The Equinox was a lovely, memorable day.  First gathering at a Buddhist meditation early in the morning here in town, where we chanted and received a ritualistic blessing meant to change the world; then, later in the afternoon, driving out a rutted dirt road to an isolated farm, deep in the bosum of the not so distant country, where I sat in the circle with my indigenous brothers in a sweat lodge, reminiscent of a world never changed.

So sorry to have missed the latest of many OS squabbles amongst the esteemed and not so virtuous.
Hope that energy for changing the world does someting.
Thank you for sharing this.
I love the celebration of the equinox, the spirit of a sweat, the chance to begin anew perhaps. Thank you for reminding me of these things.
...and this morning, ecstatic dance amongst a gathering of beautiful, loving spirits. Om shanti shanti om.

Ah ho. Matakiawasin.
I think we would all be better off if we reverted to the days when human beings were so "primitive" they saw the Winter Solstice as the rebirth of the Sun rather than the birth of the Son.
