CHANGE is a verb.

Rate: 4 Flag

Because that’s what’s happening.

We can’t stop it; we won’t stop it; and I don’t want to.   I am inspired by what the Egyptian people accomplished. On the surface, they've won a great victory; and we must hope they have not merely traded in one despot for another. This is a time of immense change, and the human condition is changing too. We have every right and hope to celebrate what is happening in Egypt. I wonder if such a thing might happen here...?

We are in the midst of a worldwide renaissance.  New, sustainable sources of clean energy and power are being developed, much like they were 100 years ago when Thomas Edison and Henry Ford were working together on their vision of a nationwide electric grid with electric cars, trucks, trolleys, buses, and trains all running on sustainable electric power; with a grid that could be accessed from every telephone pole nationwide.   Plug ‘n play.   The astounding technology of Nicola Tesla is being revisited on YouTube, and there is a call for Tesla’s work to be revived and put to use for the prosperity of humanity.  Nicola Tesla actually succeeded in creating essentially free, sustainable energy from the ocean, and even the troposphere, and he had actually invented a process by which he was transmitting electricity wirelessly across the Atlantic Ocean from Long Island to England.  In 1910.

Wireless transmission of free electricity.  In 1910.  These three giants of inventive technology were all thinking along the same lines.  Set the world free with cheap, clean, sustainable energy and allow mankind to flourish.   Henry Ford built an automobile entirely out of industrial hemp, and fueled it with hemp oil.  And these three were only the tip of the spear.  Many other great minds were occupied with similar ventures that had not only profit in mind, but freedom and independence and sovereignty.  In 1910.  Humanity was blessed with an astounding opportunity, poised on the brink of a global renaissance the likes of which the world has never seen again; until now.

The PTB put a stop to that.  Tesla was capitalized by J.P. Morgan.  His funding was pulled.  Edison was harassed, obstructed, and his labs were destroyed.  Ford was similarly compromised.  All were suppressed and sabotaged, their patents challenged and tied up in court, and they were clearly informed that social freedom and personal sovereignty was not to be promoted or tolerated.  Money and power and profit was the prime directive.  The banks were in control of science, technology, society, and the political process.  In that same year, 1910, seven men met in secrecy at a private estate on Jekyll Island, Georgia to come up with an unconstitutional agreement between the United States government and an elite consortium of private corporations.   These seven men were representatives of the wealthiest families on Earth.

  • Nelson W. Aldrich, Republican Senator from Rhode Island
  • A. Piat Andrew, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury
  • Benjamin Strong, head of JP Morgan's Bankers Trust and later to    become the chairman of the Federal Reserve
  • Henry P. Davison, Sr., partner at JP Morgan
  • Paul M. Warburg, representative for the Rothschilds and Warburgs in Europe, and partner in Kuhn, Loeb & Company
  • Frank A. Vanderlip, President of National City Bank in New York,            representative for William Rockefeller
  • Charles D. Norton, President of 1st National Bank in New York

They met to limit the power of their competitors, and their intent was to initiate a system of financial duplicity known as ‘fractional reserve banking.’ This allowed them to create money out of debt; money that would have no backing by gold or silver; a money supply that would be endlessly increased and expanded by lending out more money that didn't exist, and charging interest on that debt; thereby creating more money for nothing.

What most people do not know is that the United States is itself a legal corporation, established by Congress in 1871.  The U.S. constitution has been a corporate constitution ever since; not quite the same document as written by our founding fathers, but subtly altered to change it’s real intent and meaning; and thereby changing the function of our government as well.  The new, altered Constitution serves as the constitution of the corporation called THE UNITED STATES, not that of America or her people.  This corporate constitution does not benefit the Republic.  More on this later.  There’s a lot of catching up to do.  In 1913, the U.S. Congress created the Federal Reserve Bank.  The Fed is a private corporate bank that prints money, and loans that money to THE UNITED STATES, (note the caps) creating public debt and charging interest on that debt, interest for which every man, woman, and child in America is contractually responsible.  This is unconstitutional, but of course we still think of our constitution as the organic document written by the founding fathers, when in fact, that constitution was usurped and made legally irrelevant in 1871.   In 1913, the U.S. Congress also created the IRS, which is unconstitutional, and tasked the IRS with responsibility for collecting taxes, also unconstitutional by virtue of the original document;  and in 1914, these same families started World War II, and society fell into ruin.

The original U.S. constitution as drafted by our founding fathers is a relic, and no longer has any legal bearing upon our  functional society.  This all sounds macabre, like a science fiction novel, and yet it’s the truth.  We’ve just never been informed, because we were never meant to know or fully understand what’s happened to our government; and our life.

I bring these historical facts to light because we are at the brink of a similar social renaissance right now, in 2011, a hundred years later; and without getting any more deeply into the mechanics and technicalities of what happened and how the citizens of the United States were enslaved by our U.S. CONGRESS (note the caps) and how the masses were slowly, irreparably put to sleep.  We are a little more informed now, thanks to the internet, and a few brave souls who keep pushing for the truth to come out.  The Venus Project and many others are producing ground breaking films to stimulate the evolution of mankind and teach us how we can live together in sustainable harmony.  There are a wide variety of videos and websites that educate and inform us about all this and much more, including the historical theft of our inalienable rights.  Even Hollywood is dipping it’s toe into these healing waters with inspiring films like Avatar.  There is revolt in Egypt, where droves of common people have taken to the streets in protest of their obviously corrupt government, demanding that President Hosni Mubarak step down.   Mubarak has been in power for 30 years, he is a ruthless dictator; and it’s said he has enriched himself by stealing billions of dollars; as much as $40 billion, which he deposited in foreign accounts while his people have languished in poverty.  The American government is calling for reform, despite the equally obvious fact that we have aided Mubarak throughout his reign, and contributed to his corruption.

The U.S. Government is understandably concerned and horrified by the sight of such an overwhelming crowd  in the streets of Cairo, calling for the resignation of Mubarak; and the White House issues predictable statements calling for reform.  They don’t want to see anything like that happen here; even though time and again our government behaves in duplicitous fashion, which means they say one thing and do another.  This is what government has become all over the world; a mouthpiece for hypocrisy.

They speak with forked tongue.  The members of  the U.S. Congress and the President of the United States work for and with the giant banks and brokerage houses and Monsanto and the oil and chemical and industrial food and pharmaceutical corporations.  They don’t work for ‘we the people.’  They have enriched themselves at the expense of our citizens, just as surely as Mubarak has.

It’s been going on for generations.  The network news isn’t telling us the truth; and like our politicians, the media too, is owned by big business.  The network news is scripted pabulum and propaganda.  They’re telling viewers what they want you to hear; re-wiring your brain for the New World Order; and selling you something you don’t need for an issue you don’t really have.

The truth is not discussed on the evening news.

Change.  Or get in line.

They have a pill for that, but I don’t recommend it.   Don’t count on the U.S. Constitution to guarantee your rights.  The constitution no longer exists in the form we believe it to be.  We have the Corporatocracy instead.  They've made the rule of law for 140 years.  Get with it.  Ignorance is in fashion and hypocrisy is state of the art.  Your rights have been usurped long ago by those who are sworn to protect and serve them.  You might as well believe in the Devil, who spins a pretty good sermon himself.

Make war like an Egyptian.
The news is that none of this is really news. In the movie Network, writer Paddy Chayefsky gave vivid warning what was going to happen with corporatism. The Jensen speech from the movie is more chilling today than it was in 1977 precisely because it is SO accurate.

Chayefsky also predicted with startling accuracy the corruption of news into infotainment. In 1977, the movie was criticized for being over the top in its criticism -- but that was before Fux News came on the scene. Network predicted planned assassinations carried live on TV, and we haven't seen that - yet. But would anyone put it past Fux to do just that?

On another uncheery note, Putney Swope (1969) predicted the descent into tasteless smarm and in your face sex that now leers and oozes from the TV in commercial after commercial urging people to buy things they don't need and can't afford.

So -- I'd like to share your optimism, but until such time as are able to extract ourselves from the muck that permeates nearly every aspect of our existence -- well, let's just say, I remain less than optimistic about the near term -- say the next three or four decades. And it would pointless for me to predict beyond that, since I surely won't be around to witness.
Oh, and I forgot to add change is also a noun -- it describes all that Reaganomics and the banksters have left in our pockets. And they won't be satisfied until they have that, too.
You make good points as always, Tom; and yes, thank you, I know it isn't new news; just a wordy recapitulation, leaving out some of the most alarming and pessimistic and Orwellian facts - a few of which you bring up in your charming review, thank you. ;-) One can say only so much about this hideous subject in a mere essay before overload, requiring postscripts and addendums and volumes of supporting evidence of the conspiratorial madness, all of which is freely available; hidden in plain sight; and it would support yet another book among books, a hundred more videos, another Alex Jones, and a partridge in a pear tree. Doubtless I've left something or somebody out.

My intent, as always, is to inform and be just provocative enough to incite interest and discussion and research and change, without supporting bloodshed. I am inspired by the Egyptian model for peaceful revolt, despite the blood, which was shed primarily by thugs who are in the employ of Mubarak & Co. - and makes me think I will attempt to post some photos of the event.

peace, brother.
I did re-post photos on Facebook, for those of you on FB. I recommend the work of Heba Farouk Mahfouz, and am making an effort to connect with him, so I can post his photos in this blog.
I didn't mean to imply your post wasn't worth the read, I was reflecting on the fact that bad news has been upon us for a long time now, and I'm wondering when Americans -- like the Egyptians are finally going to wake up and say "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore.

I'm always torn when I post or comment, torn that by speaking the truth as I see it I will be labeled a pessimist and a cynic. Maybe I am, but as Daddy used to say, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they ain't out to get ya.

Now, if I was truly a pessimist, I'd wonder IF Americans are ever going to wake up, and if I was truly a cynic, I'd say Americans are never going to wake up.
and I wasn't implying that I didn't appreciate your comments. I do. As for that $64 trillion dollar question, I wonder too. I am both cynic and optimistic, merely and perhaps only because I consciously choose NOT to be pessimistic, despite the overwhelming evidence to support it. Pessimism just doesn't serve any useful purpose.

We are on the same side, and not too far apart. It will be interesting to see if the Egyptian VP will just step in. He is Israel's choice, which only fuels the madness, because he is also the official head of their secret service and the death squads; and not such a good choice for the people; any more than the military is.

Conventional revolution rarely if ever provides real change, which implies that people haven't changed much either.
Thanks again, Tom. Nice of you to stop by and comment. I always appreciate your participation. 1 rating. 111 views... Something for the numerologists... At least I'm gettin' a few readers. It would be nice to have a round table discussion with a nice meal and coupla bottles of good wine.
It's like there is a huge avalanche of apathy burying North America. I heard today that Canadians are the least politically engaged of all western democracies including the U.S. Think about that for a minute. It explains why a neo-con Neanderthal like our prime minister has managed to stay in power despite shafting the ordinary person every chance his MINORITY (but they act like a majority and get away with it) government gets. Canadians would have never stood for this even 15 years ago. Sad beyond belief.
Did you hear the 'news' that Obama and yer neo-con Neanderthal PM signed a document - and the US and Canada thereby quietly entered into an agreement (not publicized at all in the US, but slightly so in Canada) to essentially unite the two nations as one, create a 'common perimeter' and develop a 'biometric monitoring system' to track North Americans; and in the bargain, re define the rights of citizens in both nations.

Quite Orwellian. As much as we want peace and sustainability, they seem to want Monsanto and mayhem. Thanks, Emma. ;-)
@dynomite! that is good. We need to step up and to take our democracy back to where it should be.

Too many of us want to talk of our woes and do nothing to repair the conditions that are giving us our woes.

If no one else fixes things for us, then we have no one to blame but ourselves when conditions persist and get worse.
Some say the fierce class war in this country will produce a revolution, but this is a much larger country than Egypt, and even they are still having problems.
I'm happy to see people are still reading some of my posts. Thank you for commenting, Hawley. The PTB in Egypt and elsewhere are just as entrenched and powerful and super wealthy and influential (the Egyptian version of same) and they own everyone in the system, from the police to the courts to the Congress. It can never be easy; and it won't be easy here; if, as you suggests, it ever happens at all. In the USA, sheriffs are the key, IMO. People massing will not change anything but the day's news. People rioting will only result in more lethal brutality and more draconian measures to ensure 'our safety.' But there is a movement amongst sheriffs to enforce the Constitution and state sovereignty, and that is the only lawful vehicle the people have to counteract the Federal encroachment on our rights and the legislated power of the U.S. Congress. Enlightened sheriffs. They are few and far between, however, and subject to the same corruption as everyone else, so it seems a thin chance to me.

Personally, I'm hoping for intervention from enlightened extraterrestrials who have more power than the Earthly PTB and can force us to behave and change without causing further bloodshed.
