Rita Bourland - October 2010 - Columbus, OH
I am taking a break from Open Salon for awhile. No dramatic reason - just need to use some of my time in a different way. Thank you for supporting Fiction Friday for the last nine weeks. There have been some great stories written. Thank you for your positive comments on my poetry as well. I do not plan to stop writing. You will be able to find my work at www.embracingepiphanies.com I will be checking back from time to time to read some of your work.
This poem speaks to the words that form the muscles and backbone of what we do here. At least that’s the way I see it. Keep on doing what you do best – write!
Words of Open Salon
Words
Feathery, floating,
Weighty, angry, soft, sublime,
Tempting, arousing,
Tragic, emotional,
Transparent, opaque,
Dreamy, exotic, platonic,
Desirous, contented,
Descriptive, dissenting,
Dissecting, projecting, directing,
Begrudging,
Sympathetic, empathetic,
Apathetic,
Sorrowful,
Delightful,
Entertaining, amusing, bemusing, hilarious,
Contentious, condescending,
Debatable, erroneous,
Factual, laughable, imaginary,
Nonsensical, open-minded,
Personal, private, professional,
Quiet, quixotic, railing,
Vexing,
Who, what, when, where, how words
Open Salon words
Creative words
Beautiful words forming
Sentences, paragraphs, chapters and verse,
Forming the stories of lives,
Shaping our lives in words.

and no bye,
a Hawaiian post-card. Please come back frequently with missal toe and a reindeer.
Bring scones.
No big stones.
Bring a Lady.
I hope you hire a Cleaning Lady.
Maybe She wear a lil' Red Dress.
Eat great at upscale DC's Clydes.
I love how you weave a tapestry.
Words convey your wholesome.
Spirit! You sense the animation.
Words can be dead-letter. Fades.
So sad Rita but I understand

I guess my interests to now have been more in the real life, but I'd like to look further - meantime, thanks for the link, and enjoy the break !

Sometimes, rest and relaxation help stir the creative ingredients that result in imaginative new adventures... I wish you well, and hope you will return, and soon.

On Open Salon, we share the written word, but today I would like to share my thoughts with you. Unfortunately I just cannot seem to find the right words!
Good luck, and hurry back when the time is right... or write!
See U sooner than later I hope.

I am just returning to Open Salon after a period of hibernation. (We writers in the Midwest tend to do that.)
Hope you will return soon.
