No kidding.
He did. He did.
RIP Mr. Jobs, you were much too young to go, we're grateful you were here.
That guy could be Jobs 30 years ago. Great shot, Linda.
Great photo and very timely!
Linda ~ it used to be that "hifi" was a popular word and now we don't hear it anymore, but "wifi" is very much with us these days!
Linda, if I didn't know better... I'd think you had this army of paid people just waiting for you to take the perfect photo!
R
A ding and a dong too.
Well done. Great photo.
Just thinking: I post once a week unless something earth shattering happens and this was it. It just had to be plain and simple like the black turtleneck he wore.

Matt: I know.. I flipped out when I saw him

Scanner: Who knows what you are going to come upon..

Jon: thanks and hugs

Out on a Limb: yesterday I went to a "Wall Street" protest and took 137 pics.. this was one of them. The rest next week

Zanelle: yes mam..:)
Love this simple yet striking tribute to Steve Jobs.
He did just that...even for an old techno-phobe like me.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Bleue:My fave thing to do now..
Thanks Cathy..:)
Torman.. me too.. this old dog will miss him
Cranky: yes it does.. who knew what was going to happen two hours after I shot this photo
Perfectly put in just two frames.
Thanks, Linda. Hey, you're back here! So am I, I hope.
I thought so Miguela..

HUGGGGGG catherine

Luminious... I blog once a week unless there is something earth shattering and this was one thing..:)
Neat photo! This shot speaks volumes about how we have "progressed". Apple, et al will not be happy until each of us is fully tethered full-time. For a while it was all about innocuous devices growing ever smaller. Now it seems as though our "devices" are growing bigger, require 2 hands and must always be on conspicuous display. No thanks.
I was not an early convert, but I will admit, I am now applified sufficiently, having purchased at least 6 macs, ipods, iphones, and ipads. I may not put a ding in the universe, but those little dings in my wallet have created a better universe for me.
Thanks ,Linda, terrific photo.
People are comparing Jobs to Edison. The latter suffers by comparison. A truely remarkable person who loved and lived by his word and the world changed...and continues to change because of him. Just check out what the social media is using to get their views heard and their governments changed.
Aside from being a genius, Jobs was a showman who was able to get people excited about Apple's products. Tim Cook's presentation of the new iPhone is a strong reminder of why Jobs will be missed on another level.
I Ding this is wonderful.
Walter: had it not been for these geniuses we would not be blogging right now hahaha

Oryoki: So well said

Ande: Thanks and welcome to my home of love and insanity
Marsha: Exactly.. I so agree
Gone too soon, is all I can say.
Great photo.
Wow, you are becoming quite the photo journalist, Linda. This is just so perfect for the sad occasion.

Lezlie
This is so telling, brilliant. R
Ding you Berry Much Algis :)

John: Surely in all that huge conglomerate they have someone..that can light up people's enthusiasm..:(

Thanks A Walrond.. HUGGGG

Kevin: Thanks for dragging me around

Thoth: I took this pic 2 hours before he died.. It said it all to me
lezlie: I was with kevin and we took pictures and video of the occupy wall street march. I am a straggler..walk slow so I got some good shots..
the camera is glued to me now hahah.. Tons more of the march on Tuesday
Well no one will ever be able to say you are a ding dong
Look at you!! They all love that you are back!
Jack: But I am hahaha
Cindy: I am blogging on Tuesdays unless something important happens and this was it
I want to do that, too!
I have no problem with technology, but it drives me insane when I see kids focussed on their toys at the table while dining with their families. I've seen it a few times in restaurants.
That photo captures perfectly the legacy of Steve Jobs. You should send that photo in somewhere. RR
Cool pic. It's like if Star Trek and the hippies made a baby.
Sheila.. could be my youngest child
razzle.. me too.. I can't climb a stair hahaha
Chrissie.. imagine when they grow up

Rita: It was picked up by the SF gate and abc local news. I was thrilled
Rei: they probably did hahaha
A great BIG ding, I'd say.He changed the face of home computing forever.

RIP, Steve Jobs.

As a Buddhist, Steve Jobs will be reincarnated.

...and in 12 years, he'll be assembling iPads in China.

Ah, Karma--sweet, sweet Karma.

.
Bless Steve Jobs rest his soul.
A picture says so much. RIP, Steve Jobs.
Glad to see you back, Linda! Although I do not check in here often.
I am visiting your site from Dianne Lindsey's recommendation. We are here, now, because of Mr. Jobs. Thankyou for writing about him.
Great shot.

His death not only makes me sad but worried. I remember when he was forced out of Apple the first time. It was run for a while by ordinary suits and it damned near went under because none of them got that it wasn't an ordinary corporation, it was about a combination of the cool factor and user friendliness.
