"The Event" description makes me fear getting sucked in like I did during the first season of "Lost" but then giving up in frustration and irritation in the 2nd. Apparently the producers are afraid a lot of folks will feel like I do, as Wikipedia reports: "Executive producer Evan Katz stated that 'everything is designed to answer questions so you're not frustrated or feeling like we're making it up as we go along' and the writers intend to keep the viewers guessing in a 'fair way.'" In other words, he's vowing not to be Chris Carter toying with our affections for a gazillion seasons of the X-files.
But on the upside, "Walking Dead" has "people trying to survive in a world stricken by a zombie apocalypse" and I love those!
Recapping "Bored to Death" might be fun in an abstract way. How do you recap a show where nothing really happens? I don't have The Cable, so not up to the task.
I'd love to see an Amazing Race recap - am I the only one who still loves this show?
As for the fall, my family is eagerly awaiting Boardwalk Empire. That looks like it will be great. And Bill Maher's Realtime show is due back soon. Not something that I guess lends itself to “recaps” per se, but it's still an interesting show. I could completely do without Bill's humor, which I find juvenile, but he has great guests and often gets some really important discussion going.
