These are all from studies of Barry's Flamingo Photographs.
These birds gather wet krill into their pelican like beaks and then shake all the water out like gargling and then swallow them alive!
Talk about a creature feature.

Great work, I liked them all! If I had to pick, I would choose the "mean" one.
Oh yeah, the mean one so totally reminds me of someone... or two. Great post.
I love them all Elizabeth. This is so cool. You are truly a wonderful artist.

If I had to pick, and it's difficult, I think I would choose Wet. I know it's anthropomorphizing, but when they have that look, it seems to me as if they are being coy which adds to their beauty for me. I think the Wet one captures this look perfectly.
I like the first one for its imperfections and the coloration (or lack thereof) on the beak.
I like 'wet'. You could make a fortune selling your art to our little enclave.
I like Shake and Swallow Shrimp -- he looks very wildeyed and crazy -- like a flamingo serial killer.
I like Shake and Swallow Shrimp ... Repeat. Kinetics in two dimensions. Sweet.
Beautiful line work too. Although I like the Warhol version, I'd choose Wet - I think he looks sheepish, like he's been caught in a slight no no.
I like them all, but would have to single out "Mean," not that I think that one looks mean, but because there's something about the colors and composition of the "face" in that one that I like best.
