i'm looking at it & what i see in my mind is the constant rising & falling of the tide...my eyes are transfixed on that water line...

this is a great style---form---you've come up with: pictures & words...

rated, JME
I'd bet those salt etchings has a tale for each one earned.....if only it could talk.
Wow Elizabeth...I love this...
"water music' is lovely

overpasses and piers are haunted places for me....
Aqua chorus comes to mind. Very pretty, very eloquent.

I've often thought about little random things like these and all the stories they could tell, but never took pictures of them like this. Rated absolutely.
reliquarium is such a beautiful word choice.

E, this daily exercise you are giving yourself to... has real potential. I envy your discipline. (And I almost never use the word envy.) ;~)
Thank you, everyone. I occassionally revisit this spot and every time it is awe inspiring. Everything in it is gothic cathedral sized.

The previoue haiga "Under the Overpass II" and "BIG and small" are the same place.

I looked up reliquarium to see if I spelled it right and assuming that it meant "place to keep reliquaries" and discovered that it is not an actual word. But it is now.
Elizabeth, I agree with the others here on the elegance and beauty. You have also inspired me to see another word: relic-quarium. That might be a place where old politicians go in their final days as they are out of touch and "relics" . . .
I love it ... it's life and death ... absolutely beautiful :)
I can smell the water. I like the perspective. There's that word again! (I used it yesterday too). Color is important to me, and the colors are similar, complementary, and that soothes me today.

No matter what else is on OS, the first 2 posts I go to are : yours, and MoniqueQ. Very different. And for hugely different reasons. Your daily post, Elizabeth, offers a way of interaction that allows me to be a part of your creation. What's better? We are connected. And there is such beauty, depth, questions in yours. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your presence, and your offering in the world. I mean that. If you couldn't tell, this is my response to your email.
Deep bows, Annie
This reminds me that we are all remnants of something else and rarely take the time to recognize or learn what happened to bring us there. Me likey this one.
I have salt stains on my keys, rated.
