She may have inherited her acting talent and smarts from her father, but the girl got her looks from her mom.

People are freaking out because there was no Mickey break, the time when young girls go underground and grow breasts and long hair and learn to wear less clothing to glean sexual attention.

We just saw the smooth transition.  But Miley is NOT Hannah Montana, the whole subtext to the tv show and the movies, she is real.

And 17 year old girls are sexy.  I was one.  I was sexy.  I was confused, conflicted about using it, didn't get the proper benefit from it, and wasted that weird period of power on a loser that didn't appreciate me (also 17) . That is what seventeen is like.

Parents who don't remember being seventeen, a time when even the most resistant paternal guilt should allow you to remember clean simple sexual thoughts about girls in your high school class, can get all freaked out about it.  And probably do as they realize the previous paragraph's pitfalls.  

Men are creeped out by their own feelings while 17 year old boys with the exact feelings are free to see the truth.  The exact same feelings.  Exact same stimulus. 

Women spend hours each day concerning themselves with their appearance and trying to recapture or attain the 17 year old look  of youth and vitality and sexiness through yoga, make-up, and Spanx.

She is not a 14 year old Brooke Shields in no underpants Calvins and having to perform with her father to decrease the porn factor of Pretty Baby.  

You can't get sexy adult women without there being a transition point where she is not a kid and then suddenly she is barely legal.

This is uncomfortable, but I am going to just say it.

These two things are safely confirmed as ok and true:

Hannah Montana being sexy makes you a perv. 

Miley Cyrus being sexy makes you (and her) an adult.
