Gil Scott-Heron, spoken word poet, author and artist, died today. He was 62. Gil can rest assured, the Revolution is on. He gave us "The Message" - if you want to be a factor you need to be an acter. There are disciples, and there are masters. Listen and learn from the Master.

There's a track over at my Truckstop you may not have seen, one of a series in London with Amnesia Express in the early nineties.
The man knew jazz and the power of a live performance, and was/will always be loved.
My comments:
The Revolution Will Not Be Televised
Today those words take on a different and sad meaning.
Your revolution reflected the aspirational vibe of its time. Perfectly.
People wanted too much and settled for far too little.
RIP.
