During the recession of the '70's some liberal economists had the idea to use the little known environmental movement to create a new WPA. They created Global Warming™ as a threat to be treated by converting the nations power supply at every level to solar, wind and water generated power. Millions of jobs could be created developing and implementing windmills, solar panels and even solar power stations. Oil is a finite resource. The sun isn't. No harm could come from this little white lie and the economy would soar. It was a win-win. What they didn't count on was Big Oil using their vast wealth and influence to prevent this. Solar power is better for everyone and everything except Big Oil's wallet. They were so successful at preventing the greening of America (and her economy) the Environmental movement was reduced to nothing but a bunch of hippies fighting whaling ships in The Pacific.

After his tenure as VP, Al Gore was recruited by the same gang of liberal economists who tried to save the economy in the '70's. They had prepared this time, to battle Big Oil and their plans were going great. Global Warming™ had the world on red alert to save the planet.  Then, along comes Climategate! Those British scientists had their heads up their tea pots and got caught. Now, the jig is up. All you non-liberals are in on the conspiracy. You know it's a hoax but that doesn't mean the plan to Green the economy isn't sound. It's a good plan dammit! Give green a chance.
