Mustang Sally:
Run and tell all of the angels
This could take all night.
I think I need a devil to help me get things right
hook me up a new revolution
'coz this one is a lie
Mr. Mustard:
You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We're doing what we can
But when you want money
for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait
Mustang Sally:
I had this dream we were in the Resistance
Somewhere in France fighting traitors and fascists
you were my mistress, yes you were a woman
but I knew it was you by the shape of your mouth
Mr. Mustard:
I look at the world and I notice it's turning
While my guitar gently weeps.
With every mistake we must surely be learning,
Still my guitar gently weeps.
I don't know how you were diverted
You were perverted too.
I don't know how you were inverted
No one alerted you.
Mustang Sally:
If I were a boy
Even just for a day
I'd roll out of bed in the morning
And throw on what I wanted and go
Drink beer with the guys
And chase after girls
I'd kick it with who I wanted
And I'd never get confronted for it
'Coz they'd stick up for me
Mr. Mustard:
Boy – you're gonna carry that weight,
Carry that weight a long time.
Mustang Sally:
Try to raise every voice
At least I've got to try
Every time I think about it
Water rises to my eyes
Situation desperate
Echoes of the victims' cry
If I had a rocket launcher
If I had a rocket launcher
If I had a rocket launcher
Some son of a bitch would die
Mr. Mustard
When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom
Let it be
Mustang Sally:
Mary got pregnant from a kid named Tom who said he was in love
He said don't worry about a thing baby doll I'm the man you've been dreamin' of
But three months later he said he won't date her or return her call
And she sweared god damn if I find that man I'm cuttin' off his balls
And then she heads for the clinic and she gets some static walkin' through the doors
They call her a killer, and they call her a sinner, and they call her a whore
Mr. Mustard
As I was slowly passing
an orphan's home one day,
I stopped for just a little while
to watch the children play.
Alone a boy was standing
and when I asked him why,
he turned with eyes that could not see
and he began to cry.
I'm nobody's child,
I'm nobody's child.
Just like the flowers
I'm growing wild.
I got no mummy's kisses
I got no daddy's smile.
Nobody wants me,
I'm nobody's child.
Mustang Sally:
I think thoughts that I know are bad
I close my eyes and I count to ten
Hope its over when I open them
I want the things that I had before
Like a Star Wars poster on my bedroom door
I wish I could count to ten
Make everything be wonderful again
I hope my Mom
And I hope my Dad
Would figure out why they get so mad
I hear them scream
I hear them fight
They say bad words that make me wanna cry
I close my eyes when I go to bed
And I dream of angels that make me smile
I feel better when I hear them say everything will be wonderful some day
Mr. Mustard:
Do you need anybody,
I need somebody to love.
Could it be anybody
I want somebody to love.
Do you believe in love at first sight,
Yes I'm certain that it happens all the time.
What do you see when you turn out the light,
I can't tell you, but I know it's mine.
Oh I get by with a little help from my friends.
I get high with a little help from my friends,
Oh I'm gonna try with a little help from my friends.
Mustang Sally:
This year April had a blizzard
Just to show she did not care
And the new dead leaves
They made the trees look like children with gray hair
But I'll push myself up through the dirt
And shake my petals free
I'm resolved to being born
And so resigned to bravery
Yeah the one who leaves this also grieves this
Mr. Mustard
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly.
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see.
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free.
Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly.
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Mustang Sally:
So the Christians and the Pagans sat together at the table
Finding faith and common ground the best that they were able
Lighting trees in darkness, learning new ways from the old, and
Making sense of history and drawing warmth out of the cold
Mr. Mustard
Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes,
They call me on and on across the universe,
Thoughts meander like a restless wind
Inside a letter box they
Stumble blindly as they make their way
Across the universe
Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world.
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world.
Sounds of laughter shades of life are ringing
Through my open mind inciting and inviting me.
Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns,
And calls me on and on across the universe
Mustang Sally
Don't the best of them bleed it out
While the rest of them peter out
Truth or consequence, say it aloud
Use that evidence, race it around
There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary
Kudos my hero leaving all the best
You know my hero, the one that's on
Mr. Mustard
Picture yourself in a boat on a river,
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly,
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.
Cellophane flowers of yellow and green,
Towering over your head.
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes,
And she's gone.
Lucy in the sky with diamonds,

Thank you, Mr. Mustard, for your support during this hellacious time for me.
Each time my anger boils over, you calm me down. I long for the serenity that you possess, and I'm working toward it.
Just wanted to thank you for being a friend.

Not sure if it works, but it was fun to write.
Oh Lord guess you better
Slow your Mustang down hu-oh yeah ."
Slow is good when you put your feet on the ground.
thank you... and remember you can always sing along with Lucinda, "I long for knowledge
Whisper in my ear
Undo my logic, undo my fear
Unsuffer me..."
I'll hear you.
Foo Fighters, "Learning to Fly;" Jill Sobule, "The Resistance Song;" Beyonce, "If I Were a Boy;" Bruce Coburn, "If I Had a Rocket Launcher;" "What It's Like, by Everlast; "Wonderful," by Everclear;
"After All," by Dar Williams; "The Christians and the Pagans by Dar Williams; "The Christians and the Pagans," by Dar Williams (again); and "My Hero" by Foo Fighters.
I had a ton of songs I was going to quote from, but I thought this was enough. I covered issues that are important to me, and what I thought Mr. Mustard might say to me to calm me down. This was fun.

Good luck with the experiment. I think it does matter when something is posted. I wish that OS would let you scroll down and see all previous posts by your favorites. If things are posted after six pm or on the weekend, I usually miss them.
He is a musical kinda guy!
