All this talk on Nana's and Trig's posts about mushroom hunting, ticks, toads and woods. After reading Nana's post yesterday and the fact that it was a beautiful day today, I had to go mushroom hunting. Damn It! I just got the urge. Of course all my friends were working so I headed out alone. Yes I will go hiking, mushroom hunting and fishing alone. Hey the way I see it I feel a hell of a lot safer in the woods and out in nature then I do in a shopping mall or some place public. Guess I am just weird like that or something.
I hiked around in some of my Hot Spots and didn't find a damn thing. But being outside in nature just was all out great. I did however find a lot of ticks. Damn it !! I hate those things. I have really long thick hair so it is really hard to find them. Even though I had a ball cap on I still ended up with some in my hair and I tell you what that sucks.
With the talk about ticks on Trig's post and all ticks that I encountered today it got me thinking about a country song that I always liked. It is a pretty cute song and damn it anyway it would have been nice today to have someone help check me for ticks.. Smiles!!
Hope you will enjoy it..

(er, wait. You mean the little bugger, and not the comic, don'tcha?)
I use Frontline on my dogs and that stuff works great. Hate finding them on myself, it gives me the creeps.
Sometimes I wish there was Frontline for people...
Mr Mustard-It all gives me the creeps too..But I do love being in nature and I really LOVE mushrooms. The hunting for them is the funniest part of it all. Thanks for coming by.
Alonde-Man that would suck! I don't have a dog anymore but I do have heard that frontline works great. I wish there was something like that for humans also. But my luck I wouldn't be able to use it because I can't use the off and other stuff because of allergies. So unfortunately I just have to deal with it which sucks.
But all in all it all doesn't stop me from going in the woods, maybe one day I will have someone help me check for them...GRINS!
Thank you
AshKW- Man that is weird that you haven't ever seen one. Consider yourself lucky for that. I still go no matter what.. Maybe I am NUTS or something.. LOL Thank you
I have used the clear nail polish on the bites. And I also heard to take a q-tip soaked with soap and put it on the tick (if attached) twisting it slowly well pressing hard then the tick will remove itself.
They are really nasty and creepy.. but still it is fun playing in the woods..SMILES! Yep better find a friend..LMAO!!
MUSHROOM UPDATE!
Okay well I didn't get to go today I am so Pissed about that.. But it rain until noon and then my grandson Bubbie got sick so I had to go pick him up at the sitters. Bummer!! But Bubbie and I are going to have fun. I was going to take him with me but he isn't dressed for the woods and has flipflops on and not his cowboy boots. darn it!!
Maybe tomorrow..

I will check back later...
Rated & Cheers!
I met a tick once. She attached herself to me and I couldn't get rid of her, not even with matches and gasoline. Had to move from Oklahoma to California just to free myself from her wicked grasp.
Creepy damned things, even worse than chiggers.
Christopher- I met a few ticks like that and I had to move out of town to get them off me finally. Creepy damn things they are. Chiggers I would have to say are worse.. Thank you
