Take Notice (Photo Essay)

Rate: 31 Flag

The world is so full of negative. People are in such a hurry to get some where. I think we get lost in the rat race, and roller coaster of life that we forget to take time to enjoy what life has to offer.
Does any one ever take the time to stop, and smells the roses, or even to watch a child laughing, while splashing in a puddle, with not care in the world?
Life isn’t supposed to be so busy, and have such a negative force on us that we lose sight of how life really is suppose be, and we forget about being alive.

When strolling down the streets of a busy city, take a moment, and look around, take in some of the beauty that the city has to offer.
All the tall building standing so graceful and strong, like soldiers keeping guard. Architectural design, of each one neatly craftsmanship details, telling their story of history.
The sculptured skyline, lining the horizon, that is created with each one perfectly in line. Sunrays reflecting off the windows, making a kaleidoscope of colors.
The city lights, sparkling through the sky, lighting up the darkness, like Christmas time all year round. Bridges crossing over the water, with their graceful beams, and lighting, sending reflections off the water, looking like sparkling diamonds.
The ending masterpiece that we walk past, never to take notice.

After a good snowfall, step outside, and stand there for a moment. Take a deep breath, and smell how refreshing and clean the air is.
Look around at the sight of the world, covered with a white fluffy blanket.
Listen to the sound of everything so peacefully, oh so quiet, as if the earth is standing still.
The ice making the trees, and bushes, look like glass sculptures.
Crystal shaped ice cycles, hanging off everything, sparkling in the sunlight.
Walk in the woods after an ice storm, the world looks like it is made of glass, such a silence, it is calming to the soul.
The picturesque sight created my Mother Nature.

Watch over the horizon, as a storm slowly rolls over the earth, the amazing beauty that it creates.
Animals, and birds, are scarring to safety knowing danger is approaching.
The huge monstrous, spooky clouds, taking over the sky, making day light into darkness.
Listen how peacefully silent it has become; it is almost piercing, as chills run down you spin.
The earth shakes, as thunder rumbles, shattering the silence.
Cracking of lightening striking, painting colors in the clouds, as it lights the sky.
Showering of raindrops, hitting the roof, sounding like an orchestra, making beautiful music.
Sunrays cutting through the clouds, slowly making darkness breaking up, the end is nearing.
Droplets in the sky, being colored by the sun, making a rainbow letting us know that all is still good.

You have give us some beautiful pictures and a reminder that was well-needed.
Delia- Thank you- So glad you thought the photos were beautiful. And yes a very timely reminder that was well-needed.
I was in the middle of downloading the pictures and I hit the wrong thing and published instead, so then I had to hurry up and get it done, so I hope you got to see them all.
Thanks for the reminder! Great pics!
Good words Fireeyes, and the pics are beautiful. I especially love the one of the storm rolling in; it reminds me of home:)
BobbyG- Thank you very much- so happy that you found it excellent.

PatriciaK- I think sometimes we need reminders about what life is really supposed to be about. We all need to take breaks from the crazy stressful things and live life even if only for a moment. Thank you very much. Glad you liked the pictures and the reminder.

Nana- The one of the storm rolling in wasn't taken to far from where I used to live on the farm. It was an awesome sight to have the opportunity to watch rolling over. Glad you found the photos beautiful and the words are a reminder of the things we forget about in life. You know me I enjoy life to the fullest.

Yahoo 360 is closing so I have been busy downloading 5 years of photos, saying, poems, stories this past two weeks. So I am have more photos essays coming up soon when I get it all done.
Ah..... peace. Thanks for this! We can all use a reminder how lucky we are at times.
Great post! Even though it is a very hot sultry night tonight, I can smell that intoxicating crisp aroma of freshy fallen snow! That is one amazing emotion.
And that incredible photo of the ominous clouds?! Wizard of Oz all over again. Simply splendid.
MAWB- Peace is what a lot of us today need during this times. Yes we all could use a reminder of how lucky we really are. Thank you very much

JustCathy- Yes the smell of a freshly fallen snow if a every intoxicating emotion. Yeah the ominous clouds does look like Wizard of OZ all over again. Thank you very much

Ralph- Glad you found it beautiful Thank you very much
Wow...do I need to make myself look like I know what I'm talking about and thus make myself look like the fool I am?

I like the pics...
Jay- No you don't need to do that. I just figure you know what you are talking about anyone. And you usually say the kindest things. SMILES :) Thank you very much.
Fireeyes, I loved your pictures, and your commentary, especially about taking time to watch little kids play. Stand back, watch people taking their kids to school, to soccer practice. You see any smiles? No. Everyones looking at their watch. Pity. Great Post!!
Great pics and a fine essay. I so agree with you on this. All one has to do is get out in traffic and feel the frustration and rushing nature of other drivers. It is far more pronounced if you ride a motorcycle. I've taught myself not to run at the human pace, but the pass that nature moves at. Being aware of my surroundings has helped a great deal with that.
What awesome pictures and well written post! I love the rainbow picture, after the storm -just like life.

The title caught my attension, also. One of my favorite lines, "
Cracking of lighting striking, painting colors in the clouds, as it lights the sky."
Wow, beautiful photos and a wonderful message. And so true -- It seems like we've got our minds on either the past or the future and we miss out on the present!
great photos, and I love the positive message!
Beautiful and powerful. Makes me partially feel better. Rated.
Lovely photos, and a good reminder to take time to notice the little things we sometimes take for granted.
Scanner- You are so right about that you hardly ever see any smiles because they are looking at their watch in a hurry to get somewhere. Glad you liked it and the photos. Thank you very much.

Michael- Yes being taking your time and go at the pace of nature and being aware of your surrounding, helps to relieve the daily stress we all seem to let swallow us up day to day. Oh and yes in traffic or even in stores you can feel the frustration of other people around you. Thank you very much

Tai- Glad you thought the photos awesome and the like the post. The rainbow at the end, I thought put a nice end to the post. I like that line also and I like that part about watching lighting in the sky, it does paint the sky so many beautiful colors. Thank you very much
Faith- Yes it seems like we are all caught up on the past and the future that we forget to live for Today, the present. By doing so we miss out on a lot of enjoyable things life has to offer us. Thank you very much I am glad you like the photos and the message..

BrianB- I am glad you liked the photos and the positive message. We need some positive messages and thinking right now. Thank you very much

ocularnervosa- Thank you

Zuma- I glad to hear that is made you feel better. Thank you very much

Buffy- Oh yes too often we take some much of life for granted and it has some wonderful things to offer us. Just taking a walk in nature will relieve the built up frustration of life and it's stress. Thank you very much
Oh, my dearest friend, FE....you always know how to put a smile on my face. Thanks for continuing to post such positive gems like this. You've made my day!
Oncorgilover- I am so happy that I made your day. I will continue to post positive gems like this and the others I do. I got more photos too, 360 is closing down so I have to download 5yrs of my photos and work from there. So now I will have more photos to use for my inspiring and positive posts, that we all need to read right now.. Thank you sweetie! Have a great day.. {{HUGS}}
Beautiful, fireeyes, and a lesson for all of us. No matter how often we think we already know all this we stop for a moment and realize we have let it get away from us again. That sense of "urgency" when there really isn't any is a sly old devil that wants to take us back and own us, and too often we let it.

Monte
Splendid! Thank you.
Monte- You are so right about all that you said, I couldn't have said it any better. So often in life we lose track of what is important in life, that is to be Alive and enjoy Life. Thank you so much.

Penrose- Thank you very much..
Loved the images and the sentiment both, fireeyes.
Verbal- Glad you loved it. A message we all need to remember. Thank you very much
the photographer morphs with the philosopher. beauty and much wisdom. so rAted!
Much needed point and great pics. I particularly like the lightening!
beuatiful shots, every one of them
Mr Mustard- Again you say the nicest things. Thank you very much.

aphrabehn- Yes we do need to slow down, enjoy life and take power of our own lives. There are so many things we take for granted without even realizing it. Thank you very much.

Lifehalflived- It is a point we all need to think about, specially through these rough times, but not just now but always. Thank you very much.

Roy- Thank you very much! Glad you liked them.
A timely refresher for the soul. Merci.
Look, fireeyes, I am a VERY BUSY MAN
with lots of very very appointments
and responsibilities to people who
rely on me...I have no time for all this
NATURE stuff...

Actually, I have completely cut nature out of my life.....
I am more interested in making a living...you writers
and artists and hippy-dippies may have the leisure
for things like this,

but some of us have to work for a living, y'know...
Oh, I suppose that lightning is sort of pretty.....
Really nice! Thanks for just giving something to look at and think about--something that will slow us down to appreciate things more.
cool pictures, fireeyes! & properly inspiring words, too! (Now if I can just pull myself away from the computer long enough to actually NOTICE real life...) -- I especially like the snow & storm pictures as it's like 109 outside today. Ah, but at 10:00 p.m. it will probably cool off & the mosquitos will go to bed & the stars will be out! Thanks for the appreciate-life reminder!
"After a good snowfall, step outside, and stand there for a moment. "

But its almost July, no snow, I'll look funny standing outside in my snow suit when it's 102 and 999 percent humidity!! ~boohoohoo~

;)

Beautiful pics and thoughts. Rated.
Hawley- You said it- A timely refresher for the soul. The things we let pass by us everyday. Thank you very much

James- You should try to not be Such a busy man, you might miss out on something in life that might just take your breath away. Shit lucky you for making a living, I wish I was working..smiles. Yeah us artsy, hippie-dippie types love nature among other things also..grins..Oh and glad you thought the lightening was pretty.. Thank you very much

Walter-I thought everyone could use the beautiful photos and a reminder of what life is supposed to be.. remind everyone to take the time to enjoy what life has to offer. Appreciate life while we are still here to appreciate it, so many of us take it all for granted. You are welcome. It doesn't take much time to stop and enjoy things around us. Thank you very much.

Suzie- I think a lot of could use pulling ourselves away from the computer long enough to enjoy life. The snow and storms photos probably cooled it down for you, at least in you mind and body. Thank you very much.

Tink- The visual of the fresh fallen snow could be thought of anytime of the year. A peaceful retreat in the mind. Glad you like the thoughts and photos. Thank you very much
Did you take these pictures? They're amazing.
Julie- Glad you think they are amazing. I took some of them, and friend of mine took the others.. Thank you

Marcela- Everyone could use positive messages every now and then. There is so much negative in life that we get lost in it sometimes and we get lost in all that and lose what life is supposed to be life. We forget about being Alive. Thank you very much..
