With all the political stuff going on in the news and here on OS. There has been a lot said in many posts. I haven’t really said much in comments, and haven’t posted anything about it myself. I kind of stay low when it comes to political debates.
I know the country is going to hell in a hand basket, in a huge hurry too. The things that have been brought up about racism and prejudice, just simply make me sick to my stomach. I wasn’t raised to see anyone as different or less equal than myself. I was raised that we were all created as equals and we were all human beings. And By God I didn’t raise my girls to be racist or prejudice either.
Mostly the point comes down to is that we are all AMERICANS. Not one of us here in America can say we are full blooded Americans, because America is a melting pot of many nationalities brought together in one Nation to live in a free country. What gives another person the right to treat another human being as if they are shit under their shoes, is beyond my realm of thinking.
I thought I would just add a little of my opinion into the realm of things being said on here. I also thought I would share a cool ass song with everyone here on OS. It is by Toby Keith, who is a well-known country singers. He is one who sings with attitude and a lot about America. I think you will get a kick out of the video and the song. I know I did. The song is one of his new ones, I heard it on the radio the other day, while cruising around Kansas City.

I'm with you. I no longer write political opinion pieces. What's the point in stirring the pot and catching abuse when nothing anyone says will make the first scintilla of a difference?

That's exactly how I feel about everyone. I start with the hopes of mutual respect with everyone I meet, but will drop that respect in a second if the other party isn't up to that simple task, if you khow what I mean.
I'm a Toby Keith fan, though many can't stand him. Yes, I know he's a Republican. Many don't know any better, but that is a rockin' tune and a super cool video. First I heard or saw it. Thanks, for that, Firegirl!
Micheal- Yepper I know how you feel and what you mean. I give everyone the same respect when I first meet them, until the other party isn't up for that simple task. Glad you like the video and the song, and that you could hear it first here on my post. I have been up and down on liking Toby, some of his song I don't like and some I just love. He is the rebel of country music and sure can stir up the shit, maybe that is what I like about him..teehee
