I'm in the early stages of creating a children's book called I Don't Fit. I've dragged out some of my old paintings to inspire me and to use as backgrounds for some of the images. Here's a painting from 1991, The Screaming Tree (c).

After reading your bio I could guess the theme of "I Don't Fit" and that it's certainly a timely one, but might be hard to sell to a publisher. I wish you luck with that endeavor. Your paintings are intriguing. I've always been drawn to Van Gogh's work, of which these two bring to mind. (r)

Thanks for liking my paintings. I Don't Fit isn't gay-themed, if that's what you mean. It will be intended to resonate with kids who feel picked on for being different, which I imagine everyone has felt at some point in our lives.

Now, my novel I've posted a few chapters from on this blog does deal with gay issues, though it isn't the main focus of the story.

Pretty!!!! You might like my sailing paintings post!!! I have thought about making a sailing kids' story. Somehow I don't know if I could do it. Lovely art here.
