From the New York Times:
President Obama to Address Congress on Jobs and Economy on Sept. 7
President Obama is requesting a joint session of Congress for next Wednesday — at 8 p.m., exactly the same time as the scheduled Republican presidential debate, as it happens — to give a much anticipated speech outlining his proposals to boost employment and the economy.
What is up with that?
I am delighted he is going to address the congress (big move), but to do it at the same time and date as a scheduled debate among the Republican presidential candidates seems weird.
Surely the president wants to give this group of clowns as much air time as possible to humiliate themselves and their party—wouldn’t you say?
