Sleeping in my planter is Black Majic. He also came from the local shelter. I did not intend to have three cats but I was visiting there one day and I saw him sitting in his cage. Unlike the other cats, he did not feel the need to vocalize his desire for a new home. His quirk is that he never meows, he is completely mute. I think that in the 7 years that I have had him, he has meowed once.
He is a handsome, solid and sleek 16 pound cat. He is all black except for three white hairs on his chest. He has very long thick and fast growing nails which I have trim every three months. He does not mind, at least he never says anything. Majic is aloof, he rarely comes over for attention. If he wants food, he will come over and sit beside me and touch me with his paw. If he wants outside, he will wait and catch my eye and then walk over to the door. He has to be the most low maintenance cat that I have ever owned.
He sleeps at the foot of my bed on his towel. Unlike Fred and Rico The Neurotic Cat he stays for the whole night. He does not wander off and destroy things that he finds unattended. If I left him alone for a week, I know that I could come home and he would still be quietly waiting and watching.
