This is Mula, she belongs to my son-in-law. She was only with me for a year but she ruled the house with an iron fist and a full colon. She is an older cat and was used to living alone with one person. Through no fault of her own she was placed in a home with 4 other cats. They did not mind her but she hated all of them.
She would sit in the kitchen door and not allow the other cats access to their food and water. Since they were all mellow guys, they did not fight her but would wait until she lost interest and left.
Since they did not get upset with her for this, she tried a different tack. She would defecate into their food. It was deliberate. She never missed the food bowls. Even then my cats would not get angry, they would wait for me to clean up the mess and then have their food.
She refused to share her litter box. It had to be kept in a separate room with the door closed, otherwise, I would have had 5 cats using one box upstairs instead of the 5 boxes that were in the basement. ( Sounds like a lot of litter boxes, but with 5 cats, they were all necessary)
Mula would sleep on my bed and smack anyone who tried to share it with her. She did not do any real damage, but the howling and spitting and growling were problematic. My guys would not fight her, they just wanted to be her friend, but as far as she was concerned, she was slumming until her owner showed up. He did eventually return. She and Hoag are now living together and getting along fairly well.
