OS Meet-up Philly 4/16/09

2009 has been the first year I really started blogging. Sure there were websites, my MySpace blog and podcast pages etc. But OpenSalon, CelebStoner and my  WordPress page have been a concentrated effort this year. Few  endeavors have been so rewarding.

The icing on the cake was to sit and chat with these kindred sprits at the South Street Diner Thursday.

First, these two are excellent bloggers - true inspiration for newbies like me.  Second, in a world of email it is amazing how much information a real-time, face-to-face conversation can convey.

Lairderg made me a quick fan of the Philly Women's Baseball League and I plan to do a radio piece on thier games this summer.

ktm brought a gluten-free foods magazine for my daughter and I to make some recipes from and....the time went way too fast!

Ya know...the Anniversary Meet-Up was a very cool concept. Though, not nearly as spectacular as this site itself.

Hope we can meet up again and have some more Philly/Jersey OSers join in!

Many thanks to Kerry and the OS Staffers.

There was a meet up? Geez, parenting a toddler makes you miss out on everything!
Even a small meetup can be worthwhile. rated
Makes me wish I lived in Philly again. If I had time and money, I would have flown to New York at least. I need some fun with like minded people...HI to my hometown, Philly!
A diner was the perfect place to meet! Cheap and easy just like... oh forget it. How great that you guys pulled it together! Good on ye, and next year, everyone will know where to show up. No excuses!! (Hey - at least you guys pulled off a group shot - better than the NYC crew!).
Thanks for posting this, freedomisgreen! And especially for that photo. My eyes are actually open. Unbelievable.

I had a great time meeting and getting to know both of you, and I hope we can plan some more get-togethers, perhaps with more warning, so that those who couldn't make it this time can.

The time went too fast. There's just too much to talk about...
Yes, thanks so much! I wanted to stay, but I knew I needed to get to my car before I got a ticket. Alas, I did not make it and have a ticket for being five minutes late. Damn! However, it was worth it.
Thanks y'all for checkin out our Philly Diner blog adventure!

LOL Lairderg - I got a ticket too! Looks like the PPA got a fair donation from OS on thurs:)
It is so unfair! Next time, I have to pick up the check for both of you. I think I made you both late for your meters....
I am happy to read of OSer's meeting. Looks like a fine group.
MMMMMMM...south street diner!
